During your exam we will examine your teeth and tooth surfaces for signs of decay, cracks or other problems. Likewise, we perform a gum evaluation checking both your gums and the bone around your teeth for any signs of periodontal disease. With every comprehensive oral exam, we perform an oral cancer screening - you will have your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues and gums examined for any signs of abnormalities.
Braces are oral appliances that dentist use to straighten poorly aligned teeth, these are the metal brackets and wires that most people picture when they hear the word "braces". However, modern brackets are smaller and less noticeable than the notorious "metal-mouth" braces than many adults remember.
A crown/cap is a dental restoration that completely covers the outside of a severely compromised tooth due to decay, fracture, extensive restoration, discolouration etc. Dental crowns are usually done in two visits. During the first visit, the tooth is prepped (shaved down) and an impression is taken.
Our primary goal is to save your natural teeth whenever possible. Root canal therapy/Endodontics is the treatment of the pulp and surrounding tissues of a tooth. When root canal therapy is performed the pulp chamber of the tooth is removed and then filled with a suitable filling material. Root canals are most often necessary when decay has reached the nerve of the tooth or the tooth has become infected.

I sent an email to ask how much it would be to fill a chip in my tooth, got a call in the morning telling me they can't tell me how much it would be and I would have to go in so they could tell me. I waited for 25 minutes and finally got called to go in and sat in the chair for 30 seconds only to be told the price of the filling as well as being charged 70$ just for the 30 seconds of them to tell me I need a filling which I already had known and just wanted to know the price. Will be loosing my business that they have had from first opening from doing this slimy extra charge.

The dentist and staff at 67th Street Dental are the best of the best !
I've had routine dental work, and hygiene, as well as a new procedure called Bioclear, which is a more more affordable, and superior alternative to veneers, for giving all front teeth a new look. Had the procedure over a year ago, and all my front teeth still look fantastic. The white coating material has so far proven to be very durable. Painless procedure, but quite a bit of time in the chair. Anyway, I highly recommend 67th Street Dental, I have yet to ever find a better dentist, or a better dental office !!
