Established in 1999 as Waterdown Massage Therapy, our clinic was located in an 1860 historic house in the heart of Waterdown. After 20 years our clinic boasts an exceptional team of therapists who have provided therapeutic services to more than 10,000 clients. And we continue to grow! I'm Heather Thomson, RMT, and have practiced massage therapy for 11 years, 4 of which have been with Waterdown Massage.
Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, and skin. Treatments aim to alleviate pain and improve physical function by enhancing the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids.
A variety of techniques may be utilized depending on individual needs, including trigger point therapy, fascial work, deep tissue therapy, muscle stripping, joint play, stretching, and muscle energy techniques. The ultimate goal is to eliminate pain, restore mobility, improve posture, relieve mental and physical stress, and assist you with ways to maintain good health.

The best place to have a massage. I recommend Marisa, she's very knowledgeable and maintains a high level of professionalism. She can find the problem zones without you even telling her, and she can work those problems out of your body by the end of your session and you're leaving feeling so renewed. She explains how and why things hurt and how to fix and prevent. I love her and will be heartbroken if she moves somewhere far.

Have been a client since WMT opened and my daughters and I have recommended them to many friends and neighbours. We have all been very pleased with the skillful, thoughtful care from the several RMTs we have seen over the years. I echo the sentiments of a previous reviewer that they focus on figuring out the best solutions to your personal situation. Thank you!

I've been going to WMT for years. Amazing staff, very knowledgeable and able to offer a wide variety of solutions to whatever your condition might be. Personally, I can't believe the success I've had with Bowen therapy treatments from Lisa. I have literally walked in with a limp due to tendonitis and walked out without the limp. I would highly recommend that WMT be your first consideration when dealing aches and pains. Don't waste time putting up with it. Just go to WMT and you'll be amazed at what they can do.
