After graduation from veterinary college in 1987, I first worked in Vancouver, B.C. for 4 years and then moved to Kelowna in 1990. I purchased a practice there, started a family, bought a farm, bought some llamas, horses, goats, chickens, and life was good. In or around 1997, my practice philosophy took quite a turn to one that encompassed a more holistic bent.
It started with learning more about vaccinations for children, and the possibility that they weren't all they were cracked up to be, and it spread to the management of my patients. I sold the Rutland Pet Hospital in 1998, took a Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy and started Pawsitive Veterinary Care in 2000.

Icky Ticks In BC Tick season is in full swing as of March and I already found one crawling on my shirt after a walk in Wilden, almost about to launch onto my skin and head North to my head! I don't know about any of you, but I reeeaaaalllly don't like ticks and other. Spring Time Pet Safety Tips Spring is here, and with it comes new life in the form of plants and flowers.
There almost always comes a time in every pet's life when they are exhibiting worrisome signs or are just not themselves and many of these situations really need to be checked by a vet in Kelowna. As in really. Sometimes pet owners decide to wait it out and then it becomes a tragic loss that might have been avoided, not to mention the probable suffering.

We have been seeing Dr. Lavaroff for almost 14 years and have 0 issues with his care. He is actually the only reason we stayed with this clinic for so long and unfortunately Dr. Moira’s lack of professionalism,… compassion, and need to argue instead of listening to a dog parent’s concerns are just not worth putting up with further.
There have been multiple occasions in the past where we have felt she was maybe not the right fit for us, but prior to this past summer we had thought it was maybe a difference of personalities and not anything to do with her veterinary skills as we

Hollistic vet that gives you options and doesn't recommend tests unless really necessary is very respectful if people are trying to work within budgets, and most often natural treatments are super reasonable and has always helped our dogs and cats. They do titer testing so as not to over vaccinate. they truly care about your pets health and well being its not about just making money

We love Pawsitive! It’s great how Dr Moira blends the alternative with conventional therapies. We have had 2 dogs and 2 cats under her care. She is very matter of fact, which is very helpful when you are dealing with emotional situations. Dr Moira and her husband were so compassionate and caring when we said good bye to one of our dogs last summer.… My husband and I both appreciated their kindness. The staff are great, very open and helpful. I always feel confident when I take our pets to her that whatever issue we have will be resolved. I am so thankful for the care we have received

Never take your pet here If your expecting help, compassion or answers as one normally should. We never received follow up calls after our visits as one normally does at any reputable vet. This was even more hurtful and upsetting as our furry friend is not doing well. We had to make several follow up phone calls in order to hear back from the vet. After being fed up not receiving a call back we to go into the office in order to speak to the vet and not even an apology was given for the lack of response. Now after seeking a second opinion we are learning inadequate testing was done! Do not go here
