David Potvin has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years. David specializes in obtaining insurance coverage for your home, commercial, tenant, condo or rented dwelling as well as challenging policies such as short-term rentals (dwellings and condos), houses, etc. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time in the garden with his wife, Louise, and rebuilding older muscle cars.
As the first-born granddaughter of Gene and Pat Potvin - the founding members of this family legacy at Thunderbird Insurance - insurance is in Jessica's blood. Before obtaining her Level II Accredited Insurance Broker license, Jessica worked her way up the ladder at Torrefazione Italia in cafes throughout Canada and the United States leading these cafes and their employees to become the best of the best in customer service.
Jim Potvin brings a wealth of knowledge to his role of Insurance Broker with over 30 years of experience in the industry. One of the owners of this family-owned and operated local business, Jim started with Thunderbird Insurance Brokers in 1984. He is well qualified to provide comprehensive insurance solutions designed around your needs.
Nicole McConnell, granddaughter of founder Gene Potvin, is proud to be a part of a family business that has been serving Victoria and area for nearly 40 years and she plans on continuing that legacy of service for many years to come. Nicole has been with the company for over 7 years and has grown up around the industry.

The representatives at Thunderbird Insurance helped me through a tricky out of Province purchase/registration and insurance of a newer used vehicle. They knew way more about the process than other insurance brokers I spoke with (and some ICBC staff), saving me thousands of dollars and valuable time. Every staff person I dealt with was clear, patient and professional. I cannot recommend them enough.

I needed to secure property insurance for a new home purchase - but I had many brokers turn me down because I have a home based business. I was running out of time and getting nightmares! Nicole was fantastic and was the only broker out of 5 or 6 I spoke to who was able to find me coverage. Her fast communication and consideration of my concerns was really helpful and supportive during a stressful time. Thank you very much for your help, diligence and reassurance.

Went for condo insurance and cant say enough about how great Solomon was. He spent lots of time explaining the ins and outs of insurance to me, and got me a really good rate. This is also a family-owned local business. One warning! As with all insurance when they renew it the price may be raised significantly, so you may have to call for a better rate at renewal time.

I have used Thunderbird insurance off and on for probably over a decade. I insure vehicle and motorcycle. Haven’t used home owner insurance here, yet.
I do not typically trust anything to do with big business including insurance partly because I’m not that well educated in it and I really need to feel I can trust the individual agents and how much of service they are willing to be for all my questions. Not to mention I’m a bit of a tough customer like to know agents are going out of their way to satisfy my need to feel safe in spending hard earned funds and these people have done all of

I can't say enough good things about the Thunderbird team. Two times now I have come to them with a messy home insurance need very last minute and Jim and his team came through in a big way and helped me meet my deadline. I've been with them for over 7 years now and I'm not going anywhere else, they are super friendly and seem to actually care about me and always call me by my first name when I walk in the building. We had called earlier and received a telephone quote from Ryan at Thunderbird insurance.
We had taken the time to get quotes from several other insurance brokers.
Ryan was very helpful and gave us the quote on the phone. Much better than other brokers.
We went in a couple of days later, no appointment, and were taken care of immediately.
There is enough on site staff to ensure you will be seen immediately.
