They listened thoroughly to my concerns for my bearded dragon, considered all the possibilities of what could be happening, and helped me come up with a plan to help her. Even though there were covid protocals (human customers aren't allowed in), I felt like the good communication made up for it. Fairly good pricing for exotic animal services, based on calling around to a few other vets in the area.

My Amazon got vert sick and they did everything imaginable to save her- during the holiday weekend, when everyone else was full. When my 19 week old Amazon seemed sick, they had me on a cancellation list and I was able to get an appointment within a day. (On New Years Eve, when everyone else is booked until next week). Everyone has been incredibly kind, professional and attentive and we are beyond grateful.

When we needed to drop off our pet for cremation they were very understanding and made us feel comfortable by allowing us to say our final goodbyes to beloved spikey and walk us through the process of cremation and when we picked up our beloved pet urn, they did it in a caring manner. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital. They have professional and friendly staff that are very caring to your pets! Thank you, Amherst Veterinary Hospital.

Had a wonderful experience with the vet and techs at Amherst today. Cid is an almost 20 year old grouchy cat who usually gives a big fight at the vet. I think his experience was so much better by just having little extra in the room to help this old guy feel a bit better.
Nothing got him more distracted than a window with birds and cat grass to mess around with. It was a much appreciated distraction.
Thanks so much for those little things to help make a check up go a lot easier for cid and me.

I recommend this clinic enthusiastically and without reservation! The kind and efficient administrative team, the amazing and knowledgeable vet techs- (Kristi!) and the two brilliant and professional vets made our visits wonderful experiences. Empathy and compassion are evident from the initial telephone interaction to the condolence card we received after our geriatric pet passed away. I will be a loyal client ongoing and will recommend this practice to anyone!

First of all they can improve by sending their Avain staff back to school! I have had 2 bad experiences with this hospital. First was many years ago, I was sitting a male and female bearded dragons for a relative. I took the female in because she wasnt behaving right. After literally hundreds of dollars later, she died. The male was dominating her… and killed her. They didn't see that knowing the situation they were in?
Secondly, I brought my baby, 1.5 year old cinnamon cheeked conur in because his behind was very swollen. Dr. Barbosa (even had a resident with her), took x Ray's, told me
