Montreal dentist Dr Alyce Fischer provides preventive dental care in her family dental practice at the Lasalle Dental Centre. Dentistry has come a long way in the last ten years - the association with pain, drills, dentures and injections is no longer an accurate reflection of the modern twenty-first century dental practice.
Our practice philosophy is to improve your smile while conserving as much of your natural tooth structure as possible: this is the concept of "minimally invasive dentistry". In many cases we can simply remove existing worn out fillings and decay leaving only natural tooth remaining: the lost tooth structure can then be simply replaced using composite resin, ("bonding"), resulting in lifelike fillings which are strong and durable.
Implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth, which feel and function like natural teeth. Utilising implant technology, missing teeth and loose dentures can safely be made a distant memory. Our aim is to provide you with the ideal solution to missing teeth that does not involve using other teeth for support.
A crown is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. A crown is sometimes known as a 'cap'. Over time, exposing dental enamel to carbonated beverages weakens and permanently destroys enamel. Soda consumed at meal times is less injurious than when consumed alone and continuous sipping is more harmful than the whole drink taken at one time. Non-colas and canned iced tea were especially harmful.

I went to get my wisdom tooth pulled out. Before I started the procedure I specifically asked the receptionist how much was the procedure going to cost. She told me I would pay $342 dollars to get my tooth pulled out. After the procedure was done, she tells me that I have to pay $408 dollars. When I asked her why the change of price, she tells me that the Dentist told her that the procedure was a bit more difficult which resulted in the change of price. I was shocked at this business practice to quote on a price but then change it at the END of the procedure. My son had an appointment that same

As a referral from my previous dentist and highly esteemed Dr. Budai, I had my first dental check-up with their hygienist and Dr. Alyce Fischer. This was my first dental cleaning in quite a few years, and although I had quite a lot of plaque build-up and sensitive gums, the in-house hygienist did an absolute fantastic and thorough job! I am very impressed with their highly skilled team, and also appreciate the care and patience Dr. Fischer took with me.
I would highly recommend anyone in Lasalle or the surrounding areas (since it's quite accessible and only a 20-minute drive from Côte-st-luc

I have been a patient of Dr Fischer for over 30 years, and my experience has always been amazing. She is very gentle when she freezes me, and today I had an appointment for a crown and did not feel a thing! Her staff is excellent, very professional and spend the time to explain what's going on. I highly recommend this clinic!

Dr. Fischer has been my dentist for over 25 years. I am a super coward but she and her team knows how to make me feel less scared and make sure to extra freeze me if I need any work done. The clinic is always super clean and her team is very friendly and attentive to my needs. I highly recommend them! I like the text reminders about appointments too!!! Great new addition.
