Established in 1970, the Bayview Mall Vet Clinic has been caring for pets in the community for over 40 years. Since then, we have expanded our facilities several times and now have 3 full time veterinarians with a complement of 10 animal loving support staff and 3 clinic cat greeters.
Our full service hospital includes health examinations, vaccinations, surgery, dental cleanings, radiology (x-ray), laser treatments, in house pharmacy and we also have grooming and boarding facilities.Plus, for our clients, we do offer house call visits to meet your pets needs in the comfort of your home.

Services
We offer a wide range of services including medical, diagnostic, surgical, and preventive health care needs for your pet so they live a longer, healthier, happier life. One of the best things you can do for your pet is to keep him or her healthy. And one of the easiest and least expensive ways to do that is by bringing in your pet for regular exams and vaccinations.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we will usher you into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays.
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I find myself writing to notify you of the unexpected passing of my dear friend and colleague Dr. Marinus VandenBrink. Van, as he is known to many of you, opened Bayview Mall Veterinary Clinic in 1970 and it's growth and success over the years was a testament to his dedication to animal health and client satisfaction.
We are located at the intersection of Bayview Ave/Cummer Ave in the Bayview Mall Shopping Centre (Bayview Cummer Shopping Centre - Internet). Our clinic is at the center of the plaza, near the back of the walkway between the Smoke & Gift shop and Jewellery Store towards the apartments, just across from Creative Hair Design and Barbering.
Help us keep your pet healthy by bringing him or her in for regular exams and vaccinations. Dogs and cats (and other pets) age far faster than people, so significant changes in your pet's health can happen in a short time. Wellness programs allow us to diagnose diseases and conditions early, when they're easier to treat or manage.

Very bad experience and not only for the first time. I found the receptionist more professional than the people who have to care for animals. The way they treat people now, keeping them in cold weather outside, only to get 5-6 animals in at the same time shows that they are not having much empathy. Is that a business only for making money?

I have been taking my cats here over the last 25 years. I even used to volunteer there as a teenager when Dr Van was there and the owner of the clinic. He was such a compassionate man towards the animals and would do anything for them. He would be devastated to know what the clinic has turned into.

We left our vet of 30 years because they were bought by VCA and couldn’t stand VCA. We heard good things from some friends about Bayview Veterinary only to find out they were worse! Terrible service from the front door to the doctors. We left and so have all the friends who recommended them! It was ok for a short time then went straight downhill!!

In 2003, this rating would have been a 5 star hands down. Back then the late Dr. Van and his staff were the greatest. During the years I've seen much staff turnover and office staff who sonetimes aren't properly trained to treat their clients with respect and or even personal acknowledgment. When my dog passed away they did not even bother to send a little card, which is something many vets do. I still have my cat who needs a vet. However, in general I stopped feeling like this was "my" vet and even though I had kept them as my vet after I moved away from the area, I eventually had no more motivation

Please save your money and do not go here, my friend brings her cats here and they extremely overcharge and don't even give you a detailed explanation of why your pet is sick, and I honesty think they just give you a temporary solution to get you to keep coming back to them. She thought it was the best vet due to the area. please take my advice and look for second opinion if your pet is not getting better !!

This Vet restored my faith in humanity. My brother's cat needed immediate surgery after being in labor for over 48 hours with two kittens stuck inside of her. Having spent the whole day calling a high number of vets all over the city, no vet wanted to help us and didn't really care what happened to Cleo. This clinic was the only clinic that spent… the next two days doing everything they could to save Cleo's life and have been consistently checking up on her since then. I cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for the kindness and empathy this clinic had. We will never go to another

Today, I had my dear cat of 19 years, Ambie go to heaven, Dr.Tsang and Rebecca attended. It was very sad for me and of course difficult to make the decison, but necessary.
Both of them were just wonderful, I did have my tears, but that is to be expected

The staff is caring, supportive, understanding, and flexible. The prices are reasonable. The vets are up to date on the latest animal research and treatment protocols as well as the latest drugs and test procedures. They hire people who love animals from the local animal rescue and support community. They get it.

Bayview Mall has cared for our cats for more years than I can count. Dr. Tsang and all the veterinarians, technicians and other employees (including one of their administrative supervisors- Sir Gregory- a resident clinic cat) are experts in their knowledge of veterinary medicine and are always welcoming, patient and accommodating to each owner and pet alike!

My family has been using this clinic for over 30 years. Sadly, I had to put one of my cats down a few weeks ago. Dr Burnett was warm and empathetic (as she always is), and I just received a letter that the clinic made a donation to the Pet Trust at the University of Guelph in memory of her! What a lovely gesture. Highly recommended.
