Timber West Construction Ltd is a construction, steel fabrication and installation company, formed in 1998 to service the forest and mining industries. From that time, the company has grown to encompass the energy sector including pellet. Timber West, originally Timber West Mill Construction, was founded in 1998.
Initially building sawmills throughout British Columbia and Alberta, the Timber West group quickly realized that their potential could be attained by expanding the scope of projects they were taking on. As a result, Timber West Construction rapidly grew into the robust we won't need to do the job twice' kind of company that it is now.

With Timber West it's where we start, right from the initial planning stages to when we leave the completed job. Every employee from project managers to equipment operators know our strength is in our quality and precision. Timber West Construction Ltd. is certified to CSA W47.1 Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel Structures, which gives us a comprehensive service ability. Working from the 'concrete up', we can effectively manage the necessary supervision and skilled trades to complete (steel) structural and mechanical installations, renovations and repairs.
On every project, quality and safety are our highest priority. During a project we are constantly assessing timeline, budget, material, changes to the job and equipment to help ensure that any problems are caught early and that we achieve the best outcome. The Timber West team has worked on a wide range of projects across Canada, although we mainly work in North Central British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
The Deh Cho bridge is a 1,045m long cable-stayed bridge spanning the Mackenzie River, near Fort Providence, NWT. 48,000lbs of fabricated, welded, sandblasted and painted Support Steel to customers specifications. Timber West was contracted to source materials and repair the bridge, which is the only rail link for resources coming into the mill or product leaving the mill.
