Heide Veterinary Services is a large animal veterinary clinic nestled on 28 acres in the countryside just west of Red Deer and south of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. We are conveniently located in Central Alberta and provide a wide range of large animals veterinary services. Reproduction is a major focus at Heide Veterinary Services.
We take pride in breeding the next generation through artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Cooled transported semen and mare management for breeding is one of the primary procedures done during breeding season at the clinic. Services
Heide Veterinary Services was established in October of 2007 by Dr. Brian Heide. The practice encompasses all aspects of equine veterinary medicine, as well as some work with beef cattle. Our clinic is set up with an exam and procedure area with stocks for horses, a knockdown room for routine surgical procedures, a barn with 5 box stalls, and 2 broodmare foaling stalls, pipe fenced paddocks and an isolation area for sick calves.
At Heide Veterinary Services we offer various up to date and innovative technologies and techniques to achieve successful pregnancies in your mares. Heide Veterinary Services has a special interest in Equine Reproduction and infertility and we offer various services and edge therapy and technologies to get your mares bred.
Foaling season is just around the corner. We offer mare care for expecting or high risk pregnant mares. We provide your mare with 24 hour surveillance monitoring, the benefit of a Foal Alert system and the presence of a veterinarian on site, should she need assistance.
