Services
Ness Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic was founded in 1991 by Tamara Silvari. The Ness Avenue location was instrumental in the formation of lasting community relations. Relationships with community members and physicians have been a catalyst for the growth of the practice. Charles Dirks became a partner in 2000.
We treat a variety of patient populations, from ages five to ninety-five, from athletes to sedentary people and from a sudden car accident to chronic back pain. Massage therapy helps to increase blood circulation, movement of lymphatic fluid, release of toxins, stress, and muscle tension.
Cupping is used to affect deeper tissue, create circulation of stagnant blood flow, help to break down adhesions and scar tissue, remove fascial restrictions, and increase range of motion. This is done by creating a vacuum like suction drawing the skin up into the cup. We use acupuncture to promote healing, decrease pain by the release of endorphins into your blood and to decrease muscle tension.

After suffering musculoskeletal injuries, I had a month of physiotherapy with Thomas M. He kept making things worse for me, and I finally had to ask to see someone else. He loosened my hips to the point that I began limping. I had to go to another physiotherapist to correct what he did. When I tried to speak to him about it, he said “have a drink, you’ll like it better tomorrow”. If you’re suffering, don’t expect any empathy from him. He had no concern for the problem he created for me. I was suffering from severe misalignments and nerve damage, and Thomas treated me like I had a mental

I actually enjoyed the first couple of sessions here and would have given 5 stars. The physical therapist was excellent and helped with the injury . However I noticed from the 3 trip onwards I seemed to be on the conveyor belt, in the door and out pretty quick. They had my insurance details so I was just another piece of meat to make them money.
The front counter staff were in a mood half the time and very unappealing to approach. I stopped going and after a couple of weeks they started texting my personal phone (obviously profits were down that week) confirming my thoughts.
Sorry, words fail

I’ve seen both Charles and Sean here, super knowledgeable and great guys. I’ve been going for multiple injuries and work related issues. They take the time to thoroughly treat you hands on, and educate you on how to help yourself get better through exercise. Staff were also great and organized. I Highly recommend this clinic!

I really enjoyed and appreciated my time with Thomas. He was very patient, understanding and caring with me. He was always able to answer my questions and never made me feel rushed. Even though my issue is still persisting, he did his best and advocated for me to get answers. I would/will 110% go back to him in the future. Thank you Tom! You are wonderful.

About a month ago Sean Springer, one of the physiotherapists, fitted me for some custom orthotics because my knees hurt too much to run. At first I didn’t see a ton of improvement but Sean told me to trust the process and to build up my run lengths slowly. This morning I just ran my 5k personal best and my knees feel great! Check this clinic out!
