Amanda is a friendly and caring physiotherapist with over 17 years experience in both private practice and public, serving at the Grace hospital. She has treated all types of orthopaedic conditions, including pre and post op joint replacements, fractures, shoulder and elbow injuries such as rotator cuff tears, impingement syndrome, and tendonitis.
P = Protection: Avoid activities and movements that increase pain during the first few days after injury. V = Vascularization: Choosing pain-free cardiovascular activities to increase blood flow to repair tissues. Heed the warnings of pain and swelling in your hand and wrist and consult your doctor and/or hand therapist to help you know when to rest or move the injured part.

I went in for my first three appointments for a thumb ligament injury over about six weeks with Ms. Tritthart. Although she was kind and listened closely to my history in the first session, on each of the three occasions, when physically assessing my hands' mobility she failed to assess my thumb's mobility in one respect and my hand's mobility in another.
It took until the end of my third session for me to bring up my palm not wanting to sit flat on the table because of the natural cupping, and then, while Ms. Tritthart looked at the next patient who had just entered and began sending me off with
