Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic
Our entire health care team consists of compassionate animal lovers who have dedicated their lives to the well-being of pets. Dr. Donohue graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph in 2015. She grew up in Kingston, Ontario and spent time working at veterinary clinics and a horseback riding camp.

She spent her first few years as a veterinarian at a small animal practice in Renfrew, Ontario. She joined the Grenville-Dundas team and became a practice owner in 2018. She has her silver certification in Low Stress Handling and is passionate about making our patients as comfortable as possible. Dr. Donohue's special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry and pain management.
Services
Since the 1950s our practice has been providing veterinary care to our community. The practice was named Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic in 1985. At that time we provided service to both farm animals and pets. Since 2009, our practice has been caring for small animals (cats, dogs and small mammals) in our community.
The Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic is located at 2643 County Road 43, directly across from the Kemptville Mall. From Highway 416: Take Exit 34 (Leeds & Grenville Road 43) and go west on County Road 43 towards Kemptville. Drive through two round-abouts and 2 sets of traffic lights. We are located on the right hand side (North) of the road about a quarter kilometer from the main intersection of County Roads 44 and 43(second traffic light).
Our primary goal at the Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic is to keep our patients as healthy as possible by reducing the risk of disease and by identifying early signs of disease. Annual Health Examinations, also known as Wellness Examinations are intended to find diseases early, even before obvious symptoms appear.
Dr. Lambourne, Dr. Donohue and Dr. Guest perform most of the soft tissue surgeries at our veterinary hospital. We call on two Board Certified Veterinary Surgeons for specialized operations and orthopedic procedures. There are many surgeries that we can perform at our animal hospital. We use a variety of anesthetic drugs that we can tailor to your companion's individual needs.
The Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory which allows us to perform a wide range of tests on the premises. These tests include complete blood cell counts, biochemical profiles, urine and fecal analyses, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus tests, heartworm and Lyme disease screens and some cytology.

Please don't be fooled by what may seem like a modest exterior at first glance: this clinic is top notch!! I have an 8 month old puppy, and his most recent visit (neutering) prompted my review here. My little guy had cryptorchidism, and the vet managed to do the procedure with just one incision vs two. Obviously this is not always doable but it was not only a testament to the skill of the vet but also her desire to go the less invasive route (if it all possible). That being said, the surgery was done extremely well, he is healing very fast. The technicians are always very thorough, show great care

****ATTN*** I would just like to start off by saying that me and my wife are extremely demanding clients as some of our dogs are not only family members but well into 5 figures in cost. Just before Christmas we had one of our dogs get injured and require emergency surgery. These guys were absolutely FANTASTIC!! I cannot stress enough how professional they were, how experienced with large breed dogs went a long way with us. Our male isn’t always easy to handle and these ladies did a phenomenal job, the quality of the work doesn’t stop there! Even small details like the cleanliness of the cut

Because they are so popular and busy, we experienced delays when booking on our two most recent visits when our cat and kitten were quite sick. They need to reserve slots for emergencies for regular clients. They do provide caring service.

We just started going to this vet with our 2 dogs and they were amazing. The Dr came out and spent 20 minutes talking to us. I highly recommend them. The prices and fair and they seem happy to be doing there job. We had a very bad experience at our old vet running up an unnecessary bill doing tests that didn't even need to be done. Taking and charging for x-rays that they messed up on. Totally took advantage of us because of covid and not being able to go in with our animals.
Thank you so much for making our fur babies feel good and have a good time with you guys.

Wonderful caring, kind staff. Pricing is also very fair. They're busy, but took my sick kitten in right away, and really took care of her. I'm happy to have them in Kemptville.

My dog passed away and I brought him to this vet he had been seeing.
When I arrived they were quick to shove the debit card machine in my face while I held my dead dog. Zero compassion, no questions on what happened or how I was doing.
I told this person that I needed to access ashes when he was returned to me.
I picked him up when I was told he was ready - the urn was sealed shut. Luckily- Gateway made this right.
Prior this fiasco, I found them very disorganized, insanely expensive and not worth the money I spent on his care.
Yet another vet in it for the bucks.
They are a disgrace to the

One of our labs recently needed emergency attention and The Grenville-Dundas Vet Clinic saw us right away! We weren't even a client of theirs. Our own vet clinic told us they were "too busy" that day to see our dog.
We have recently switched over to this vet clinic from our previus clinic that we have been going to for an number of years. Highly recommended.

My boyfriends dog had an emergency this past weekend and we called and they had him come in immediately and they saved his life. They were wonderful to him and gave us lots of updates throughout the day. We are forever thankful for them. We had our dog home the same day healthy and happy.
