I was a bit nervous going into the salon as it was my first time and I had been with another hairdresser for 10+ years. Plus I have 3c/3b curls which not everyone knows how to deal with. But Ricki was absolutely phenomenal. Got a red ombre and it looked even better than I initially imagined on both my straight and curly hair. I've not only gotten comments on how the color looks but also how amazing the ombre transition was done. 10/10 recommend.

It was the most mediocre haircut I had in a long time! For me a good indicator for need for a haircut is when I start wearing a hat: 4th day after getting a haircut from here I had to wear a hat!!
Honestly I knew it wasn’t a good haircut as soon as I got home and took a shower, but I didn’t care calling the salon because the stylist wasn’t personable and most probably wouldn’t have called me back in to fix them. No repeat for me.

Tried this salon for the first time today and had a wonderful experience! My stylist Orianna was so professional, sweet and down to earth. I got bangs for the first time in years and she took her time and made sure the length and style was to my liking. I definitely found my go to salon! Thank you again, I couldn’t be happier with how my hair turned out!!

I had a great experience getting my long hair chopped and styled by Orianna! I waited too long to get the haircut as I didn’t have a “go to” place, guess I found one now. Got layers, Orianna made sure I was comfortable with the length she was cutting off. I don’t think I am going anywhere else. Covid restrictions are in place to make sure everyone’s safety. Thanks again girl! :)

My young child enjoys having their hair cut by Robert at this location. Robert makes going for a hair cut a great experience by treating my child like a 'person/adult' through engaging him in conversation and being genuinely pleasant. Robert does a fantastic job cutting my child's hair as their hair always looks fresh, neat, and we'll trimmed. I have only experienced pleasant staff at this location all together. Friendly, clean, and professional establishment.

Happy to have found this salon! I'm new to the area and am looking for a new place and stylist. Ana at Uptown was professional, listened to what I wanted in terms of colour and delivered! The salon is casual, non-pretentious and employees are quite friendly. Prices are competitive for the area. Uptown carries several different colour lines and has an extensive retail section. I was also happy to find out that they offer facials. I am happy with my results and already booked my next appointment.

I have been coming to Uptown Hair Salon for about 5 years now. The staff is very professional and friendly! Love my hairdresser Robert (whom I’ve known for about 10 years now). Robert has an amazing talent. Knows exactly what to do with my hair. His eye for detail is impeccable. He’s professional and super friendly. Also an amazing pianist!!
