We understand appraisals can be required for a variety of reasons and that clients may require current and retrospective market values. We provide appraisals on a regular basis for: mortgage purposes, matrimonial/asset division purposes, power of sales, estate liquidations, consumer proposals, insurance claims and relocations.
Al has extensive experience with Real Estate and Banking having sold his first brokerage house in 1968. He joined the Appraisal Institute in 1971 and graduated University in 1972 with a degree in economics. From 1972 to 1977 he sold real estate as both a salesman and broker. In 1977 he joined the CIBC as head office staff appraiser.

Stay far far away from the appraisal company. Recently I was scammed out of $3,000. They said that I would receive a professional appraisal on a property I purchased and insisted that I pay upfront. Assuming that the work would be done on time and thorough, I proceeded. To my shock and surprise, they didn't actually do the appraisal and just sent an incomplete report that my bank rejected. My bank indicated that they have had numerous complaints about this company and they are blacklisted. I tried to resolve it with them and even had a few calls with an appraiser named Matt. He was rude, used vulgar

I am a mortgage broker for over 30 yrs. I ordered an appraisal through York Simcoe Appraisal Corp Inc. a few days ago.... To start off I wrote to them for a quote and they responded within 30 minutes.... The quote was VERY competitive.... So I placed the order.... which was super easy on their website.... I had the report in hand within a couple days.... SO FAST!! All that AND they were extremely nice to deal with in all respects. That's the way to run a business.... my thanks for the excellent service.

If I could give no stars, I would. Worst experience that I've ever had with appraisal company. They compare apples to oranges. They were comparing a new neighbourhood to already existing homeswhich were smaller in frontage by over 25 feet. The receptionist is very indignant and acts like she is an appraiser. Then, when you ask her to elaborate on her answers, all of a sudden she says, 'I'm not an appraiser'.
Please do not use this appraisal company. I have been in the mortgage industry for over 10 years and never had to deal with this issue. Definitely a mickey mouse business trying to hang out
