When I do my job properly, people that were afraid or hesitant to smile will be walking around with a perm-grin. As a proud West Kelowna dentist, I would like to help changing people's lives, not just their appearance. My goal and my priority is to help my clients live better, more fulfilled lives.
And that starts with taking your smile and making it 'you', and the objective to make it better. Dr. Shauna Palmer received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1993 from the University of Alberta. After 9 years of practice in Kamloops, B.C., she embarked on a journey into a functional and cosmetic approach to dentistry in Beverley Hills, California.

Our team is dedicated to helping you maintain or restore your smile. Proudly serving West Kelowna and the surrounding communities, we strive to provide you with comprehensive dental care in a friendly, calm, and stress-free environment.
Tooth coloured fillings and crowns (BPA / BisGMA-free fillings, ceramic or zirconium crowns). Ozone Therapy (for infections, surgery, desensitizing teeth, gum therapy, muscle pain and TMJ pain etc.). Sports mouthguard - an athletic mouth guard that improves strength, balance, range of motion and flexibility through aligning the jaw and physiologic posture.
Dr. Shauna Palmer and her team work with other health professionals in order to reach our clients' goals. We refer our patients to local Okanagon health providers we know and trust, in turn, to maximize the success of treatments. Local health partners may include family doctors, general physicians, physiotherapists, neurologists, family physicians, surgeons, and orthodontists.
Any type of dental pain or issue that's keeping you from your normal daily activities (such as going to work or school or being able to eat) is a dental emergency. Common dental emergencies include knocked-out teeth, broken or chipped teeth, abscesses, toothaches, and broken fillings. When in doubt, it's best to call us in advance if you need same-day care and we will assess if it's something that needs to be dealt with immediately.
Regular, semi-annual check-ups, beginning when your first teeth poke through your gums, will achieve better oral health. The earlier we can help you take care of your teeth, the less time you need to spend here. And the more time you get to spend doing things you want. In a perfect world we would all brush and floss regularly, and our check-ups would be 100%.

I wrote the post below a few years ago when I started going to Dr. Palmer. And my review remains just as valid as ever. They helped me through a difficult period of dealing with a rejected implant and replacing it with a bridge. I really appreciated the care they showed.
To be honest, I have never liked going to the dentist. But if you must go to the dentist, Dr. Palmer's office is the place to go. They have a fantastic team of warm, caring, and friendly individuals. And Dr. Palmer and her staff clearly care about their patients. I never felt like I was out of sight out of mind and they are always

I used to dislike going to the dentist UNTIL I started coming to Dr.Shauna Palmer's office! 😊 My experience with them is very unique to other dentists I have been to. It's way more thorough and personalized, I really enjoy getting to know their team as they are all so friendly and amazing at what they do!

This was my first visit to Dr. Palmer's office, I met all her staff, including the office manager, hygienist and her dental assistant and all were very professional, competent and polite. I felt that I was very well taken care of and would without hesitation recommend this office to anyone seeking a new dentist!!

Update, Dec 7 2020, I just received a $25.00 gift certificate at Petro-Can for completing my tooth restoration; as if 15 cavities done and a lot of novacain isn't thanks enough, I got some gas money to boot! Thanks Dr Palmer, Ali and Kelly-Anne.
First visit: Dr. Palmer's coordinator Carrie Anne was able to find a problem that I had been asking my previous dentist about for over a year; it took her one look at a previous x-ray for her to notice that my chronic sinus infection was related to a dying wisdom tooth. Then Dr Palmer comes in and is able to sow together everything that has happened in

I am from out of town and needed to see a dentist on an emergency basis as I had a veneer that popped out. I got an appointment with Dr. Palmer very quickly. She was very professional and all her staff were very friendly and efficient. If I lived in West Kelowna I would use Dr. Palmer on a regular basis.

Dr. Palmer fixed a filling that another dentist had not finished well so I was feeling a bit of discomfort. She took her time to fix it properly. I really appreciated her taking the time to explain what she was doing and what was going on with my teeth. Her receptionist also called me before my appointment to let me know that Dr. Palmer was running late so it gave me time to do some errands. I thought that was so considerate of my time! I'm so glad that she is a biological dentist too!

I have been a patient of Dr. Palmers for over 7 years. I've had a lot of dental work done and I've always left feeling satisfied and pain free. The staff there are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I lived in Vancouver for 6 years and always came back to Kelowna to have my dental work done. Highly recommended if you want an honest dentist!
