Dai Ichi has been our most trusted and frequented sushi restaurant in Mississauga. It is truly a gem and a delight. The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly. They have such unique specialty Japanese style sushi rolls, as well as some truly excellent Korean fare, such as pork bone soup, homemade kimchi, bibimbap and our recent favourite, whe dup bap.

Without exception, everything is so very fresh and beautifully presented, even for takeout. Price wise, it is in the middle of the pack, but for such exceptional cuisine, it is still a bargain! My absolute favourite place for sushi! We've been customers since they opened (2001) I'm so spoiled now, I compare all other sushi to Dai Ichi's.

We are a family owned and operated restaurant established in 2001. Food is our passion, running deep in our blood and brewed in our history. We have over 30 years of experience in running successful restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area. Our family started out with a small twenty seat restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto way before sushi was a popular mainstream food back in the mid 1980's!

This is one of the most authentic sushii places in Ontario. Skip the "more than you should have eaten" places and go here instead. The service is outstanding and the chefs are world class. i suggest the Sashimi and Sushi boats be shared with some friends over a bottle of warm sake. Don't be shy, let them know what you like and trust the staff to help you order if you aren't familiar, everything is delightful.

3 1/2 ⭐..the miso soup was some of the best I had, and when they say " spicey" they mean spicey, overall it was good. Would go back.

Still the best sushi in Mississauga. My husband and I discovered this place years ago and it still remains our fave. In fact we had it twice this week! Their Korean apps are delicious. The atmosphere is amazing, especially if you’re lucky enough to get one of their curtained rooms. The staff amazing! The food amazing! Our top restaurant.

We ordered takeout for the Small SSR Combo. The fish was good, and they gave us more pieces than what it says on their menu. However the red tuna was a bit chewy. It's likely just a not so good cut that we got. Aside from that it was delicious, wouldn't eat again!

We ordered last week and we're very pleased. The pork bone soup was very tasty and meaty. The rolls were good.m and so was the japchae. The fried calamari had a sweet and thick batter that was not to our taste. Overall a good takeout option specially for Korean food.

Who said sushi is not for vegetarians. This restaurant definitely does not think that . They have some amazing variety for sushi for vegetarians. I ordered a veggie sushi maki tray with 36 pieces. They had different varieties like cucumber and avocado, fried tempura, mushrooms and yam . Loved the fried tempura one the most .
The price was also reasonable and not on the higher side . I definitely want to have more kinds of veg options there but definitely they have good options .
Everything was packed beautifully and the lady spoke really well with very kind staff.

Restaurant is very popular but lacks any clear signals why it does so well. Disclaimer: I am not a sushi enthusiast so please take that into consideration.
Had the seafood and vegetable pancake that was average in taste and quality of ingredients used. Ambiance is nice with private closed off booths that seat 4-5 people.
For teriyaki, it is average as well.
Worth a visit, it may be more for sushi enthusiasts to understand the hype.

Just ate at Dai Ichi Sushi for the first time. I would say the service was very prompt and helpful. My maki rolls tasted yummy. Im told the fish soup was good and the noodles with chicken and veggies was ample and satisfying. (See photos attached).The restaurant seemed cozy and offered a bit of privacy. I recommend.

The food was nice and fresh. When we arrived the waiter came and greeted us right away to have us seated. The food came out fast but we went 30 minutes before dinner time. We ordered spicy tofu soup and Dai Ichi boat B. 50 pieces of sushi was enough to feed the four of us. The food is a little pricey but it's worth what for how good the food is.
Would definitely come back again with a group of friends who enjoy sushi as well.
