As per the registered health professionals guidelines, we are still seeing clients in-person at the clinic. Virtual appointments will continue to be an be offered as a treatment option. We take a holistic, conservative approach, working 1-on-1 during the entire treatment time, individualizing treatments according to each patient's needs.

Services
All our staff have extensive specialized training in treating pelvic health conditions and are constantly upgrading skills. We regularly teach other professionals - doctors, midwives and other physiotherapists about pelvic health. Krista Cochrane was born and raised in Ottawa Ontario. She is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2000.
Chronic pelvic pain affects 10-15% of North American women and 10% of men. It is pain which may be felt in and around the genitals (vagina, penis or scrotum), the rectum, pelvis, groin, abdomen, hips, thighs or buttocks. It may be mild or severe, constant or only when sitting, vaginal insertion, exercising, cycling, or wearing certain clothing.
Vaginismus is an uncontrolled spasm of the pelvic floor muscles at the entrance to the vagina, preventing penetration. It can make gynaecological exams or tampon insertion difficult or impossible. It can feel as though there is a complete 'blockage' and attempting to get beyond this can produce feelings of extreme anxiety.
Tight Pelvic Floor Muscles is a condition in which the pelvic floor muscles are too tense and tight. It can occur in both women and men. These muscles may have been over-active and too tight for many years, and often cause problems that you may have struggled with for years, but can remain un-identified unless the muscles are specifically palpated and assessed during an internal (vaginal or rectal) exam.
Incontinence is the loss of bladder or bowel control at the wrong time or place. It can be just a few drops or enough to run down your legs or wet the floor. There are many myths surrounding incontinence - such as it's an inevitable part of aging, or to be expected after childbirth. However, incontinence can affect anyone of any age, of either sex.

I highly recommend Quelen Farias and Pelvic Support Physiotherapy!
Quelen was an amazing physiotherapist and helped with abdominal pain and pelvic support.
Quelen was always kind, respectful, and supportive during the sessions. She always took the time to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable and fully understood what we were talking about.
She also always asked for consent before proceeding with any examinations, and ensured I knew that I was comfortable and could stop at any point.
Quelen also provided many exercises that I could work on between sessions, providing a variety

I have been going to doctors for two years now for pelvic pain and this was the first time that i talked to a medical professional that not only seemed to care, but had actual answers and solutions for me. Nancy is amazing and i have told so many other people to go to her. I had a great experiance with them and now have a better understanding of my body and what needs to be done to deal with my issues. 10/10 reccomend.

I can't even begin to thank Nancy and the PSP staff enough. I had been on 7 weeks of draining antibiotics before finally coming here. Nancy is incredibly experienced and has nothing but time to explain and answer questions. In my case it was all about learning to clench my pelvic floor less, a dysfunction I probably got in a car accident. I felt totally safe during our session, and this was during covid. Their measures to keep patients safe really are some of the best in the city (and I do a lot of physio).
I picked up on the method Nancy proposed very quickly, and improved dramatically over the

I was referred to Caroline by my midwife and have never been more thankful for anyone. Caroline is incredibly understanding, patient and supportive. Her treatment methods are effective and I didn't even know that what I was going through had a name until I met her. Caroline is an expert in vaginismus and pelvic pain and so many other things going on in the pelvic floor area. She truly cares about her patients and is an expert in her field. Thank you Caroline for everything you do and with such kindness and knowledge!!
