Services
In 1993 I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. I went on to complete a residency in dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital. Afterwards I practiced in Whitby, Ajax and downtown Toronto before starting my own practice in Scarborough in 1998. I have been part of the Port Union community ever since and it gives me great pleasure to see and interact with patients who have become like family.
We would like to extend a big congratulations to Natalie Spooner, one of our long-time patients and a member of the Olympics Women's Hockey Team in 2014 that took home gold for Canada! Natalie also came in second place in this year's Amazing Race Canada. This application was developed by a colleague and myself as a tool to help patients understand dental procedures.
Jorge was looking for whiter teeth, with no freezing and can be done in only 90 minutes! Well, he was in luck because he was able to have it done with us at Kotansky Dental in Scarborough. How many years has it been now? I am thrilled by this new website and newsletter. I feel closer to all of you already!

My appointment at Dr. Kotansky’s office was a great experience. The staff and Doctor did a great job! I was very pleased with how the freezing was given, because there was very little pain. Thanks to Dr. Kotansky and staff for an amazing experience! I would definitely recommend this office to others!!

Just under a year ago, my family started seeing Dr Kotansky. So far, we have been very pleased with the work there.
One of my daughters had baby teeth that were late to fall out and needed to be pulled. She was incredibly nervous about it due to some bad experiences earlier in life. Dr Kotansky in particular led the way by doing everything possible to put her at ease and keep her comfortable. I can report that she was extremely happy about how it turned out. I recently went to Dr. Kotansky to get some work done. His office is very welcoming and he did an amazing job. Dr. Kotansky makes connections with the patients and makes the experience of something as frightening as teeth pulling a pleasant experience. I recommend him and his office and will be returning in the future. So far it has been my best dental experience with any doctors.

I am terrified of dental procedures of any kind due to past experiences, and I also have extremely sensitive teeth to boot (as in, you can clean my teeth, but give me a healthy dose of an anaesthetic first).
I've had a number of appointments at Kotansky Dental since I moved to the area, and they've all been virtually painless. Dr Kotansky and his team are skilled and knowledgeable, and they are always so welcoming and know each patient by name. If/when I move to a different area, I'll still be coming here.
