Services
These are some of the more common Veterinary Services we offer our clients and our patients. At the Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic, our entire professional healthcare team is dedicated to delivering proactive, problem preventing medicare which is the key to maintaining optimum pet health.
We have a very open minded diagnostic approach whereby we consider all predisposing and contributing factors in our Multi Moldal Medical Management of your pets' health and well-being.Our veterinary practice realizes that the most important key to providing optimum pet healthcare is by putting the veterinarian's role as a problem preventer on an equal footing with the traditional role of a disease and injury treating problem solver.

We do our best try to find new, caring, forever homes for the pets that are brought into the animal shelter or are surrendered to us. All of the animals put up for adoption have had a thorough general physical examination by a veterinarian to ensure they are as healthy as possible. They are all properly and completely vaccinated, dewormed and treated for visible parasites.
Elsa is an 18 month old Pitbull Mix. She is a very sweet girl that loves to be around people. Elsa is very energetic and enjoys tossing around the jolly ball in the yard. She is not overly cuddly but does love to come for bum scratches and pets. When Elsa had her exam with the Vets, it was determined that she is deaf.
Tink is a 5yr old cat. She is a very friendly and affectionate girl. Tink loves to be the center of attention and as soon as you start to pet her she will do her best to get as close to you as possible. Since Tink is new to our adoption room, we have only introduced her to one other cat. So far thing are going well and Tink spends most of the time on the cat tree ignoring the other cat.
The Pet Center caries everything for the fish enthusiast has a wide variety of Tropical and Goldfish. We have a good selection of aquariums, filters, heaters, gravel, ornaments and food. Check out the Betta Center for that special gift. We pride ourselves on our selection of shampoos and other grooming supplies we offer at the Pet Centre.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
This clinic told me that if my dog has been in pain then it’s shouldn’t be a problem for him to continue to be while we waited 5 day for an appointment. They offered no help or suggestions on the meantime other then keeping him still 🙄
Avoid this clinic at all costs if you are looking for somewhere that cares about your pet.

I used to like this animal clinic but the last year has been painful anytime we have to deal with them especially since Covid.
They completely over charge for "emergency" appointments ($125) since a person would be unable to book an appointment within the same couple of weeks. Once you get there despite it being an "emergency" and you being charged excessively they still do not intake your animal immediately.
On another occasion my fiance' had an appointment for our one dog and called ahead of time to state she may be late, they said "you'll have to reschedule". She did make it several minutes

I beg everyone to come here, it is out of the way if you don't live in Wetaskiwin but the price will makeup for the gas. I got my kitten spayed here and she ended up having a heart murmur and the vets were very communicative throughout the entire surgery so I would feel safe and comfortable, and I could only imagine how comfortable my kitten was if I was feeling like that on the other side of the phone! Her incision was amazing after and she did not need a cone or anything. (couldve just been her though) Place is very clean and they are taking covid precautions very seriously. All and all a great

My only regret is not finding this amazing team sooner!
I have a special needs boy (he's very selective on people and dogs he likes) and he approves! I had not found a veterinary team that he liked or took their time to make sure he was comfortable. They make you feel like a genuinely appreciated client, not someone to hurry and push through for the next appt. The Vets, techs, reception and support staff are all second to none who genuinely love all of our beloved pets. They are so amazing, I still use them even though I moved an hour away (2 hours round trip).
The prices are very good and the

We decided to bring our 10 month old American Bully here to be neutered as we were quoted significantly less for the surgery than our normal vet.
We had heard great recommendations for this vet so decided to give them a try.
When we entered the veterinary office, the receptionist didn’t acknowledge us and I was actually the first to say hi. I have never been to a veterinarian clinic that has never acknowledged my dog or pet. All of the vets I have used in my past experience are super hands on with my pets, which makes it a lot easier to leave them when needed. The receptionist did not acknowledge

We recently brought our older dog in from Edmonton. While doing so, we probably drove past many other Veternarian clinics. This office has been recommended by a friend, and we soon discovered why. They were friendly, personable, thorough, and didn’t push costly surgeries for our little shih-tsu. A couple of days later, she had a medical emergency, and we were accommodated quickly. Their costs are incredibly fair, and the attached boutique has lots of fun treats and accessories.

They have always treated my 3 dogs first class. My one dog was diagnosed with having a severe back problem and recommended surgery which was going to be VERY expensive. I brought her to Fiona and after x-rays they made me aware her back was actually okay and just needed some muscle relaxants to help her out. I don't have enough good things to say about the Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic. Keep doing what you guys are doing. I know my dogs are in good hands with you guys.

I went here b/c it was recommended by a friend. My FAVOURITE Vet is Dr Janice @ Didsbury Veterinary Services but I was looking for a closer vet as a 2.5 hour drive one way is kind of rough on my kitties. I saw Dr Tara as that is who my friend raved about. I found her to be nice and caring but I didn't feel a huge connection with her. The clinic has a dedicated cat room so I was impressed by this. The prices are fair way less expensive than a city vet. We took our youngest kitty Sophie for her 3rd round of vaccinations as she had her first 2 from the breeder. Like I said Dr Tara seems like
