Shaughnessy Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital facility. We're able to handle nearly any type of medical or surgical problem your pet might have. On-site we have a complete radiology suite including dental x-rays, full in-clinic blood testing capabilities, a dedicated operating room with a surgical laser, a special area for dental procedures and acupuncture/chiropractic treatments.

Faq Report

While we do understand that emergencies aren't scheduled and we do everything in our power to accommodate an emergency situation, we do request that you call ahead to schedule an appointment for your pet. By calling in advance it will ensure that your pet is seen at a time that is convenient for you and by the doctor you prefer.

The staff here are the absolute nicest! (And speak perfect English if you're not a great Portuguese speaker like me.) No one wants a dog emergency visit while traveling. They made my life so easy and my normally very nervous dog loved them. Thank you so much!

We have a very nervous dog when it comes to vets. Cool Vet took the time to bribe him with treats until he was comfortable enough to do the blood test and vaccine we came in for. We greatly appreciate their approach to making our pup feel safe.

Unfortunately I was charged for the consultation even I wanted just the regular injection as I said in the beginning because of previous one week ago. Explanation was supposedly has to be checked If my dog is healthy to do that injection, which besides weigh and look nothing was done even temperature. Injection cost 11 and “consultation” 30€... sadly as a lot of vets in the center of Lisbon not wort it. It was a first and last time here....
