Clinique Chiropratique Notre-Dame
Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on homeostasis, the human body's self-regulated ability to keep all systems functioning optimally, and to heal itself without medication or surgery. It focuses on the relationship between structure and function; with namely, of the core structure (the spine), as well as the nervous system, which controls and coordinates all bodily functions.

The chiropractic approach is both preventative and curative, striving to help patients with the preservation and/or restoration of health. The objective is not only to relieve, but also to prevent symptoms and pain that are linked to improper functioning of the spinal column or joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles).
Services
Sigma Instruments uses cutting-edge technology, assisting the chiropractor with both analysis and treatment. It is one of the most sophisticated treatment modalities available. Sigma's analytic software allows the chiropractor to objectively measure several components of spinal function in order to evaluate and treat your musculoskeletal system.
Review of your examination findings including explanation of the probable cause of your symptoms. Informed consent including explanation of the benefits and the risks associated with appropriate chiropractic care. Patients choose if they want to commence care at this time. If so, they may receive their first chiropractic adjustment at the end of the second visit.
The Rgie de l'assurance maladie du Qubec does not cover chiropractic care. However, most private insurance companies cover a percentage of the costs. Your insurance contract will generally provide a detailed description of chiropractic care fees that are covered under your personal plan. The CNESST and the SAAQ will also cover a predetermined number of visits when authorized by the medical doctor managing the file.
There are two academic institutions where a doctorate in chiropractic can be obtained in Canada. The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto and l'Universit du Qubec Trois-Rivires (UQTR). CMCC in Toronto offers a 2nd entry Baccalaureate Honours degree to qualified applicants with at least 3 years of university level education prior to admission.
Birth trauma and repetitive falls in young children can cause damage that could adversely affect the function of their spine and nervous system. This damage, incurred early in life, may interfere with their growth and development throughout childhood and possibly lead to health problems that may only manifest much later.
