This place has been here a LONG time ! I think it provides a ' lot ' of food, for a reasonable price. ( $ 13.95 for lunch buffet ) .
I ordered the War Wonton Soup. ( small bowl , 8.95 ) . It was pretty good.
I think this place really caters to Tour Groups. ( hard to make a go otherwise ).
Its very difficult to put out really high quality food, unless you raise your standards and charge for it . Competition to survive in the restaurant business makes it a tough go.
The young lady, that looked after us, was a real sweetheart ! She was running around like a chicken with her head cut

DO NOT order food from the Lotus Inn! old, reheated- not even hot food. The last time we ordered we were SO disappointed! It was aweful! ( you know what 2 day old rice tastes and looks like), the wonton soup was hard, chewy and smelled old, the sweet and sour pork was rock hard and the sauce had coagulated, the deep fried wontons were soft and chewy and absolutely dripping in oil, the almond chicken was complete mush - The best part is that when we called to tell the owners that we were so disappointed, we were told we would get a credit on account of $50- when we tried calling to order tonight

We came here as part of a Tour Stop for lunch.
The food here is not something you want to eat, but we HAD to eat and I had about 3-4 items that were 'presentable' and edible:
- Ginger Chicken Soup
- Honey Chicken Wings
- Stir fried Vegetables
What made it worse was that the waitress asked US to put the DIRTY plates into the DIRTY dish areas after we were done with each round of eating. WHAT are you so busy with at a buffet restaurant then????

I wish I could give it a higher review. First of all the good points. The server was excellent and friendly. The selection of buffet food was great. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean.
Now the cons. I found lots of the food was greasy and one of the beef dishes didn't taste great. I ended up eating more of their raw vegetable selection. They could have more dessert selection. However I would go back and eat their again

We joined a four days Rocky Mountain trip, and stopped by this restaurant on our way back from The Golden to Vancouver. This is a small town, so we were quite impressive of finding this authentic Chinese/Hong-Kong style restaurant. Its lunch buffet offers quite many different dishes to choose from. In additional to many fried foods to serve western customers, it also provides some traditional Chinese dishes. Best of all, its Ginsen chicken soup is very delicious. If you are around this area on your trip, come for the lunch and you will not be disappointed.
