Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, Chahal MacAskill Chiropractic & Wellness Centre emphasizes improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could.
Dr. Rai graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and has completed the Neurofunctional Acupuncture program from McMaster University. He is also a certified FRC Mobility Specialist, FR Lower Limb & Spine Provider. He is currently completing the Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS) program.
We understand that arriving at a doctor's office for the first time can be nerve racking. If you've never experienced chiropractic care before, you may not know what to expect when you come to our Whitby chiropractic office for the first time. Filling out paperwork, learning new faces and names, and getting to know your way around the office can be an overwhelming experience.
Chahal MacAskill Chiropractic & Wellness Centre believes in the value of wellness care for you and your family and have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. Our office participates in most insurance programs. We also accept auto accident. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.
We do our best to get into the community when we have the chance. We also have biweekly in-office seminars to help you understand the benefits of chiropractic and to explain what it is that we do and why we are so passionate about chiropractic and your wellness. This is an informative seminar and allows you an opportunity to ask any outstanding questions you have based on what you've already learned.

The staff here are super friendly and Dr. Rai is amazing. He is incredibly professional and helps you target your key points of concern. He also assists by showing you exercises that you can incorporate into your everyday life to help your upkeep. I have already recommended them to my friends and family.

I mean the reviews iterally speak for themselves. Dr. Rai is very thorough , very capable and confident in his approach. I really like the fact that he tries to connect with his patients and tries to address the root cause of problems. I had lower back pain and he tries to empower you to take care of yourself. As it is said, “first impression is a lasting impression” and my first visit at Durham Chiropractic and Wellness Centre is a “WOW” I certainly taken aback as I was greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk, and how clean and fresh the office was. I am a new patient and I have received excellent care, service and such pleasantness by Dr. Rai and his staff. The Chiropractic center is such a relaxed atmosphere, including the music and waiting area, which is very sophisticated by the way. Dr. Rai and his staff are very helpful, very knowledgeable; they know exactly what they are doing. And the medical equipment is state-of-the-art and safe. I've been to several chiropractors in the area resulting with no to little relief with severe back pain. Dr. Chahal was quick to address my problem and adjusted me back to health. Not only was my pain gone but Dr. Chahal showed me the proper stretches and strengthening of my core to keep my back aligned. I also need to add that they are following ALL Covid-19 guidelines. I felt safe, cared for and understood! Thank you Dr. Chahal and staff...you're AMAZING!
