A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic X-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

Recently switched dentists to family time dental and couldn’t be happier. Everyone is so pleasant and happy and customer service is phenomenal. Unlike other dentist offices they actually care about your well being and what’s important as oppose to just trying to take money. Thank you family time dentist !

I was so incredibly impressed with the safety measures put in place due to Covid 19. Each chair was sanctioned off by a complete barrier protecting you from others...each sectioned area had an individual air filtration system, all tools and equipment sterilized, all staff members gowned, shield's, masks and gloves. During this pandemic I seriously never felt as safe, and secure, as I did at Family Time Dentist...truly impressed. Dr Whelan and staff are exceptional. I'm not a big fan of going to the Dentist. But I've been going for over fifty years. Of all the Dentist I've been too, I must say Family Time Dental for me, has always been a positive experience. From cleanings to fillings to my most recent visit for a crown. I've been a Patient for almost three years now and will continue to be.

Botched root canal. Although instruments can break - I've had issues ever since and it's been over a year. Follow up was non existent and after procedure I could tell by the reaction of the dentist performing it that something just wasn't right.. anyways I've since recently switched to Smile Dental and I would highly recommend them. Customer service is far better and they are currently in the process of fixing the tooth which was not properly cleaned. Again, I understand misrakes can happen but follow up care was not there.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Whalen and her team at Family Time Dental for almost 20 years. We have received expert care in a warm and friendly environment. Everyone is on a first name basis. I used to be very nervous about going to the dentist. Not anymore. They make you feel very comfortable.

This is definitely a family friendly office where everyone is treated with kindness and respect. Dr Carm and Dr Pam keep abreast with the latest technology and are able implement this technology to keep the appointments efficient and predictable. The same staff have been there for a long time.....and that to me speaks volumes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a friend or family member there!
