If you think this hotel is cheap you are highly mistaken. Your room may be $100CAD a night but every night you stay you gotta pay 20$ extra for parking. Not just this but the restaurant in the hotel is extremly expensive but they basically force you to go there because 1. There is no free breakfast. And 2. The hotel is attached to ScotiaSquare and nothing is open till like 12pm on Saturdays and not even open on Sundays. 3. No appliances in the room such as a microwave or kettle; also the mini fridge is a mini mini fridge. (So have fun with that)

Really bad experience.
We went there for thanksgiving long weekend. We booked our room two weeks ahead and called them to make sure we’ll get a room with waterfront view, the agent on the phone said if I’ll be here I’ll give the room that you want if not I’ll make a note and you can ask my colleague to do so.
We got there and the room was face to tall business building, the they after we talked to the same person and he looked us in our eyes and said no I didn’t say that!

It's very clean, but it doesn't look that good because the building is very old.
We live in central Halifax, but we stayed overnight with our family for a celebration here, because there is a pool. But we couldn't used the pool because too too clouded anytime. very disappointed. I should have chosen another pool hotel. Also, my husband and my phone didn't catch here's wifi(not old smart phone), my son's old tablet caught it.

Excellent incredibly clean room with lovely view of the Harbour . We had no microwave in the room, although there is a fridge, and when I phoned guest services to ask if we could have access (maybe through their kitchen) to heat some left over food in a microwave the reception said she would call me back. 10 minutes later a guys came to our room with a microwave! what service! Beds are comfy, room was way larger than expected. Great location too.

The automated system to try and get early check in was a dead end circle. Once I finally got a chat online agent, I was than able to get a hold of the hotel after Multiple attempts and rings. They did not seem to know if I could do early check in. Than when I arrived the man at the desk said unless it’s important I am leaving the desk. The other lady asked if she could help and I was literally in front of her saying yes after standing 5 mins waiting and she took the lady behind me and than said I asked if anyone needed help. I do like the beds here comfortable. And easily accessibility to downtown

This hotel hits a sweet spot on price for the location. The close proximity to downtown without paying $170-200+ a night is what makes it worth considering.
The pool and fitness facilities are adequate. Not the best the city has to offer but better than not having them. On-site parking is available, though a bit of a pain and extra cost (which hurts the value aspect).

There’s a “manager” named grant and he is the most rude and disrespectful worker I’ve ever met. I paid for 2 nights at the Neptune suite and he told me he’s going to wait for me to “check out so I can smarten you up” all because I wanted him to bring me extra blankets. He has been nothing but unprofessional. I’ve had nothing but the upmost respect for him. That little man is more than welcome to wait for me to check out. Send him prayers

Overall an impressive hotel in the heart of Halifax! Only about a five-minute walk to the waterfront. Ophelia helped us check in and she was absolutely lovely! She made great conversation and gave us plenty of information regarding our stay. Room was clean and comfortable! Competitive rate but you have to pay for parking and breakfast which is important to note. Loved our stay and will make it our go-to in Halifax!

My family and I checked in on March 15. Prior to our arrival I had asked about parking and was advised by the lady on the phone that I can park in the parkade and bring my stub to front desk to have it validated for the weekend with no mention of paying for parking. My family and I went up to our room and it was around 7:30pm on the day of check in… that I brought my parking stub to front desk to have it validated. Still no mention of there being a fee associated with parking. Upon checking out after a wonderful 2 night experience with excitement to return again in the future, I was advised

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in Halifax. I expected a microwave & a coffee maker in the room as I haven’t been in a room without either in years but that was apparently the least of my worries. … Brought my daughter for a weekend out before school starts but was surprised with unmade beds, blood on the sheets, coffee on the sheets and tags left in the room from the previous person. I have no idea how ALL of these things were missed..... The staff at the front desk were great! They quickly sent someone to the room and redid the room however during COVID especially
