Toronto Counselling Centre for Teens has a skilled team of Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers and a Registered Dietitian, all who love teens and excel at working with teens. We want to be a welcoming, understanding, kind and expert resource for your teen and family. Some come from medical backgrounds with teens and bring expertise in complex medical issues, mental health struggles and eating disorders.
We have therapists with specializations in identity and sexuality. Some of our therapists have extensive experience with families. Some are new to the field (and are, of course, getting additional training from us and others) and they connect with teens easily because of their closer ages. All of the practitioners here have been brought on because they are warm, skilled and have something special to offer your teen and/or family.

We love their energy, promise and ingenuity. The teenage years can be confusing, vulnerable, and sometimes even volatile. We feel that it is an incredible honour to help a teen navigate these years, heal, grow, shift perspectives and shift relationships. We believe that our work with teens is strategic: an investment in teens is an investment in the overall well-being of our communities.
Jessica started her working career in leadership development with undergraduate students in Toronto. As she loved the transformational conversations with the students, she knew when the time came to go back to school, she wanted to become a psychotherapist who works with teens. She is proud of Toronto Counselling Centre for Teens and the great work the team is doing with teens and families.
The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario requires its members to have a period of "Qualifying" after they are done their training. It means that they have to write an exam and get some more supervision hours. Those that have their RP (Q) are completely done their official training and insurance companies do cover their work if your plan covers Psychotherapists.
We have already successfully facilitated online counselling to our clients who have moved for their post-secondary education. It's our hope that online services will help with teens that are struggling to leave the home or are too far away from our Bloor West Village location. Clients will need access to a private location to do the session in, a working computer and a strong internet connection.
The Toronto Counselling Centre for Teens is incredibly pleased to be introducing a Dietitian to our team! Providing teens with autonomy around food choices sets the foundation for nutritional, medical, and emotional health. When teens become competent eaters and approach food with compassion and curiosity it positively impacts many areas of their lives and reduces the risk of eating disorders and chronic diseases later in life.
