We would highly recommend Val Chowbay and her team as they went above and beyond for our MVA case. They treated us like people and not a file number. We were impressed with how genuine they were in all interactions and their support. We were very nervous about the entire process but they reassured us and were completely in our corner throughout. Fees - Fees - Fees. Beside the percentage paid to lower agreed by the contract there are lots of extra nonsense fees.
No communication!
I requested breakdown of all the fees and proof of receipts. I emailed them all in the office 5-6 times. I left lots of voice mails. No reply from any of them. About $130 they charged for photocopies, insane.
To store your files in there cabinet they charging about $150, insane.
I even asked what is exactly included in percentage paid to lawyers by the contract ? Guess what? No reply. No professionalism. No communication.
I regret choosing Mazo Chowbay !!

Don’t bother wasting your time! You get what you pay for. I paid $0 and they gave me ZERO RESULTS for my car accident claim.
2 years of appointments w specialists, doctors, physiotherapists and in the end I got $0 in compensation! And if I don’t call to get an update about my claim they don’t provide any information. I even have to call them for several days before I speak with someone. At the end they tell me I’m not getting anything. In the three years that I have been with this firm, I have NEVER met my lawyer or had any communication from her directly. I have only talked to her team, and as every other review correctly states, communication is very limited and they are very difficult to contact as well. The one time I try to meet my lawyer through an appointment, I was instead met by a member of her team upon arrival, with my lawyer nowhere in sight as she was absent throughout the entire appointment. If you read the other negative comments, they are all basically what I experienced as well, so I won't repeat them. Save yourself

So I was told 25% charge. but they lied. on their statement they charged for file opening and storage, courier, photocopy, to total of exactly 10%.. dishonest, never had to review medical records, because I didn't have any, called me two times, this place is fake and full of scammers. that's why insurance prices are increasing for dishonest lawyers like these. I called to question the invoice never returned my call.

Great law firm are very helpful just in the beginning had to face some lawyers here that were not very good at their job didn't really get back or call when needed. But over all most lawyers are great and get to ur case.

Recently my case just ended up finishing and I did give 3 stars to it at first but honestly I don't think now 3 stars to .. since their a big company I thought they would have good services but I was wrong even tough it's a big company it isn't goood in alot of ways so ... I was not so happy with the choice of us taking them as my lawyer.

I was recently in an accident and referred by a friend of mine to Mazo Chowbay. Honestly, to date, I have had no issues with them. I am having my treatment covered through my insurance and not having to talk to the insurance people is nice. I am happy about this because they never answered my calls so now I can just focus on getting better. They case managers have been upfront with me through the process and not giving false hope, like these dumb TV ads.

Terrible lawyers! 5 years and nothing....not one of their lawyers ever supported me at any mediations we went to. My lawyer(s) (never the same one) didn't even speak up or support me while opposing counsel said things to me...NOTHING! Their office only ever got in touch with me maybe 4 or 5 times in 5 years of dealing with them. Any time I e-mailed them or called their office, there were times no one bothered to get back to me.
Obviously you get what you pay for. You pay nothing up front for their service and you get nothing in return. Big thank you to Diamond and Diamond for sending me to them
