Vamos Martin
Family Law Problems can be complicated, confusing and often times overwhelming. During periods of emotional and financial turmoil, you often need more than just an empathetic listener you need solid, competent legal advice. Martin began his practice in Brantford where he gained experience in Real Estate, Civil, Family and Criminal law.

He moved his practice to Hamilton in 1985 and since 1990 has concentrated on Family Law. He has experience in separation agreements, custody and access issues, divorce, spousal support, child support, property of the marriage, property claims of common law spouses as well as all issues relating to child welfare and apprehension of children by children's aid societies.
Services
Martin E. Vamos has been practising law since 1982, having first obtained his BA at York University and his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. Martin is married and he and his wife have six children and two grandchildren in total.

A "Biking Barrister", he regularly participates in the annual Miles for Smiles charitable cycling event which has been raising funds since 1993 in support of two Hamilton emergency shelters for homeless youth in conflict with the law.He also participates in a weekly chess club and tries to golf with friends and family as often as possible.
Separation Agreements do not legally end a marriage, but they do help to set parameters which resolve some family issues related to assets and liabilities, support, custody access, and could also allow you and your former spouse to provide releases to each other for other issues you do not wish to claim.
Hiring the services of an experienced divorce lawyer prior to the filing of a divorce application and until proceedings are final helps to ensure that your legal rights are represented. Consulting a divorce lawyer prior to filing a divorce application also helps to educate you on rights or obligations you are required by law to observe.
It can be difficult during proceedings to arrive amicably at an agreement on the tricky question of "who gets what". Retaining the services of an experienced Family Law lawyer to represent your interests in the division of net family property ensures your rights are protected at this stressful time.
Property within Common Law separations is not divided the same way as it is for married spouses. In fact, among Common Law spouses there are no equalization payments, but rather the ability to file trust claims. Trust claims allow an individual to seek a payment from their spouse for remuneration for contributions to property that the spouse owns.

What an absolute worst firm lawyer and staff I have come across. They never reply to my emails or any correspondence and if they do it’s very short and makes no sense. Even though I am not paying for any of the services and Legal Aid is paying for it I do respect some sort of professionalism. Please nobody waste your time going to this old-fashioned man and he’s not up to date with anything and lets his staff run all over him. Nothing has been going on with my case is at a complete standstill with all these promises that were made to no avail. Beware of this creepy old dirty man and his weird

There was a review left here in my name that I did not write.
Martin has been nothing but helpful, kind, and professional during my very toxic separation.
I did not write that awful review nor do I agree with anything said in the review

What a rude and unprofessional receptionist or secretary. Wouldn't even give a opportunity to speak of my situation entirely. Interrupted with a annoyed tone in her voice. While in the middle of trying to explain she puts me on hold only to come back and say no can't help you. Didn't even get to the main importance of the situation. I can see why they have poor reviews.
