Being based in Toronto, I wasn't familiar with any appraisal companies in NS; however, I was extremely fortunate to have used Boutilier & Associates to complete an appraisal for my clients. The closing was two and a half weeks away when they approached me, so we had to move quickly on this file.
Susan and Kim were my main points of contact, and they were incredible to work with. Their responses were quick and efficient whenever I needed an update. Hired these people to appraise three properties. They forgot to check their own files and appraised it for less than the first time they did it. $55k spent on the property, they devalued it. AND, would not admit or correct the mistake.
These people do fire sale appraisals for loan sharks. Do not hire them.
