With rigorous inhouse quality control procedures, we are an approved vendor to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and government organizations. HMD began as a designer and manufacturer of custom automated wrap-around packaging machines and conveyor systems.
Over time, we have evolved to include the custom machining needs for a wide range of industries, including: mining, power generation, military and oil & gas. We have developed strong working relationships with a number of local foundries and pattern shops to support the design, pattern making, cataloguing and storage of patterns for our customers.

Services
Here at HMD, we run a lot of medium or large parts that take a particular skill set. Beyond the handling and manipulation challenges, the parts often distort under their own weight. In large parts, thermal distortions and movement during and after machining are proportionally larger. Likewise, residual stresses that are pre-existing or induced during machining can cause amplified distortions.
