Mills & Mills LLP was founded in 1884 when George Gordon Mills opened our first office at the corner of Church & Front Street. George's brother, Alexander Mills, joined the firm in 1889, after serving for two years as Deputy Attorney General of Manitoba. Since our founding, there has been a continuous presence of the Mills family in the firm - now in its fourth generation - the longest-standing such tradition for a law firm in Canada.

Our Optimist Club required a lawyer to help with a real estate transaction to purchase a camp property. In a very convoluted way, we found Taras Kulish. He was with another firm when we found him and we were so impressed with him and his work, that we followed him to Mills and Mills.
Taras has extensive knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and was able to advise and guide the club members in what had to be done to write our documents required for successful completion of the court application.

A lot of the time I do not get a call back in the agreed upon and contractually obligated time-frame. I do not get compensated for the financial damages and reputational damages my business incurs from said call back delays. The only reason I still deal with this firm is that they are my provider firm through LegalShield. You have been given many chances over years of service Mills and Mills, repetitive breaches of contract will be tolerated no longer. I am posting this review to let others know. I have requested a substantial refund through LegalShield. I will combat your repetitive unprofessionalism

My experience has been poor due to poor communication since I have never phoned or emailed this firm and received a timely response. Once I got no response at all. When I decided to change my plans and asked for the remains of the $5000 retainer be returned by electronic transfer (the same way they received it) I was told I had to provide a voided cheque (which I'm pretty sure they know that was not possible) so I have to have a cheque mailed and go to the bank to deposit it during a pandemic!

After losing a significant amount of time with counsel that did little to resolve my high-conflict family law situation, I retained Leanne Townsend and Mills & Mills to help me reach a quick resolution. Leanne along with members of her team Allie Cuperfain and Mia Asido started working on my file right away, were very responsive and developed a strategy to move my high-conflict situation along. Mills and Mills is the Ontario LegalShield provider. With my LegalShield membership I've saved over 2000 dollars and extracted great value. I won't ever be without it because of the access that I get.
Over a year ago I had an issue with a security system company. They charged me a 300 dollar installation when it was suppose to be a "no cost install." I constantly complained and nothing was done about it. At the time I did not have a LegalShield membership and I decided to not pay them anything instead. A year later I received a bill for $1492.58. I contacted my lawyer
