Stella has been a hair stylist for over 18 years now. She is very passionate about her job and is known for her experienced technique in hair cutting, chemical work, hair updo and make-up. Stella has received Vidal Sassoon advanced class training in London, as well as the make up program at Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver.
Not only is Stella responsible and thoughtful of what her clients need, she wishes for the to have a happy and enjoyable experience everytime they come to her at the salon. In addition, Stella specializes in the Japanese Straightening perm, talented with bridal make up and is also updated with ladies trends.

I have had my hair styled with Stella more than 10 years, I have “difficult hairs”, and I am very picky with how my hair have been done. She always has the professionalism, manner and the skills that put me at ease right away. She is a true artist & an amazing hairstylist. I had a very satisfying experience @ Moods, really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. What’s more, I’ve recommended this place to friends and co-workers and they all love the experience from Stella and her team’s skills & talent, to the ambience, the warm and honest costumer’ service, the salon beautiful set up and location

Not very happy with the experience that I had today. I booked a specific hairstylist for hair cut and color service. However it was someone else dyed my hair actually. Nobody even was combing thru my hair before dying so that when the lady dyes my hair, she pulled my hair super hard to make the comb went thru. I was feeling painful and I could feel a lot of hair got pulled down. Also the color was not what I wanted.

The stylist had no clue about newer ways of cutting hair and did her job like we live in mid 60s. I went for a haircut and my stylist was Stella! She had three pictures of the hair style that I wanted on her phone. And said no problem. Yet, did a completely outdated and ugly cut and style on my hair. She forgot to touch a big chunk in front of my head. At the end when I told her that the style and cut was nothing like the one in the pictures that I wanted, she told me that my hair texture wasn't good for that style! As if she didn't see the photos or touch my hair beforehand!

Backstage Hair Studio is a clean place - I have been there twice to cut my hair and I love the way that Toby took care of me.
She is really attention to detail, asking if you're okay with what she is doing, even the water temperature which I really appreciate :) She is amazing, friendly, organized, multi-tasks and makes you comfortable. I never been disappointed by her creativity and services - I really recommend her and I won't change hairstylist !

I had my most satisfying haircut and styling with Toby. I had very stiff and coarse hair that challenges most hair dressers. That's the reason why I always switch to different hairstylists. Finally....... and I mean finally I found the GEM!! Toby with exceptional skills and experience, she is able to tackle my hair with ease! And not just that my hair stopped growing like wild weed anymore! I have less frequent haircut and look 10 years younger. I'm so happy I found my hairstylist!!!!

This studio is the best! I have been going to this studio for almost 15 years, and its never a dull moment. Everyone is super friendly, and they get the job done so well. I've had various types of hairstyle and it was all crafted out with love . If you go, you must visit Suki! She does job so well, and its always a fun time with her! Filled with laughters and jokes. Time goes by too quick with her whenever I get a hair cut.

I've been going to Backstage for many years and Suki is my hairstylist. When walking in your temperature is checked, you're asked to sanitize your hands and the led to your chair. The studio has about 12 chairs all partitioned for safety. After each client, they wipe down the chairs, arm rests to ensure it is prepped for the next client.
Although, I don't have as much hair as when I first started going to see Suki, I come back because of Suki in particular and the overall environment is great.
