Oxford Child Development Centre is a licenced and accredited childcare centre based in west-Edmonton, established in 1988. Oxford Child Development Centre has four locations within the Rio Terrace area: a Daycare location accepting children 12 months to 5 years, and three Out-Of-School locations accepting children 5 to 12 years old.

At Oxford, we believe in Learning Through Play, as we support the children's development through a child interest-based emergent curriculum. We offer an inclusive program with developmentally appropriate activities and experiences and encourage family and community values. We strive to obtain a safe and healthy learning environment for all children in our program by nurturing each child's sense of self, curiosity, and love of learning.
Services
Oxford Child Development Centre's daycare is located in the heart of West Edmonton in the Rio Terrace community. The daycare center has its own private backyard and play structures providing the children with a multitude of experiences, as well as an enclosed park for the younger children. We are very close to public amenities such as Rio Terrace playground and spray park, and the Patricia Ravine Trail.
Our Lynnwood location is one of three of Oxford's out-of-school care divisions. We are licensed to accept school children age five to twelve years, located in Lynnwood Elementary School. We are very close to public amenities such as Lynnwood Community playground and Meadowlark Shopping Centre.

Lynnwood OSC provides before and after school care on regular school days, as well as providing fun and exciting full day programming for PD Days, Summer Holidays and both Spring and Winter breaks. We work diligently to create opportunities for the children to engage in creative activities and projects geared to the specific interests of the children in our program.
Our new location is located in the Patricia Heights Plaza next door to the daycare location. This location will be the home for our Kinder age children as well a small group of children in grades 1 - 6. This location will share the daycare's playground space, as well as have easy access to the Rio Terrace Community Park, multiple school parks and the Patricia Heights Ravine Trails.

I'm onto my second child at Oxford and it's been a wonderful experience both times.
In the three years we've been there ( 2011 - 2015) I've always felt that the staff cared about my kids, they are safe, the facility is clean, and they get to have fun. What else could I ask for.
There's a number of parents there whom have put multiple kids through Oxford. They must be doing something right ☺

When my daughter went here their was a really bad bunch of kids. Hitting, throwing things and scratching and it seemed that the staff did little to discourage that kind of behavior. I heard many times from my daughter about another child scratching her and I'd lift up her shift and she'd have marks but yet the staff said NOTHING to me about it. The final straw was when I picked her up one afternoon and she told me that another kid threw sand at her and her eye was still hurting. As I inspected it I could see something was stuck in her eye. Needless to say she had several trips to the hospital and
