I went for a snow tire swap at Dettmer Tire followed by a trip to the Ford dealership. The dealership noticed that my lug nuts were all damaged from Dettmer using the wrong size socket swapping my tires. Dettmer refused to replace or pay for the new lug nuts claiming that they were damaged from ice and freezing conditions. I may have believed this if it was one or two nuts but all 24 were damaged. The staff was very rude and would not pay the 140 dollars I paid Ford for the replacements. I have been a loyal customer for 30 years. I will not return to Dettmer Tire again and would not recommend them

It's always a pleasure to be able to post a positive Review of any business establishment and such is the case with Dettmer Tire, Eramosa location. We are recent customers of Dettmer, having gone to them for Snow tire installation services as well as to purchase Summer tires for our 2017 Nissan Rogue. In each and every instance, we were treated exceptionally well by Mitch Ellis and Steve Motyl. In particular, Steve could not have been any more accommodating and thorough in his level of service and follow-up. He arranged for an overnight drop-off of the vehicle(s) which resulted in our vehicles

Love the folks at Dettmer. Always very upfront and helpful at explaining the issues of our vehicles. Most recently helped us contact the manufacturer for our car that had a recall and helped set everything up for us, and after helped us landing a great deal on some winter tires. Have been going to them for awhile and will continue to do so :)

Awesome group, went in to ask about some tires. They told me the deals and informed me of a cheaper set because they fit my uses better. Didn't try to upsell. They made a call to see if they had them in stock and 40 minutes later I had two brand new tires for less money than I thought.
Will look forward to going back and getting two more when the time comes.

Better prices than Canadian Tire generally. Maybe got unlucky with Supplier shipment issues or maybe Dettmer dropped the ball on my order. Too busy to call me to say my tires came in (bad weather was upon us and they were in their peak season mode). Lost two days of work to get my tires on (one I assumed wrongly, another day-of to get this over with). They did have satisfactory customer service, and were generally pleasant. Made sure I was able to get my rebate from the supplier for buying new tires. On this experience I would give 2 stars, but if I were to have asked for new tires even

Friendly guys at Dettmer 5 stars for them however...
When I moved to Guelph in the summer I was recommended to Dettmer by a local friend as a place to store my offseason tires. I dropped my tires off and paid the $75 they asked and thought that was for the year plus the cost to switch them.
I was pretty shocked when I went to pay for getting my snows on to find out I had to pay the $75 again plus the cost to change the tires (on rims already).
I'm even more shocked to come to the page here for them and see the ad for $50 for winter tire storage and again no mention of having to pay it
