I was born in Bath England and came to Canada with my parents when I was ten. We moved to Guelph when I was 15 and I have since then always considered Guelph my home. I attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar in 1983. I worked in downtown Toronto for six years before making the decision to return to my hometown and practice in Guelph.
I was born and raised in Arthur, Ontario. In 2008, I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization in History. I went on to obtain a Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration - Cultural Management from Humber College and interned at several not-for-profit arts and heritage organizations in Toronto.
After graduating from York University in 2008 with an Honours degree in Atmospheric Science and a Certificate in Meteorology, I spent two years working in Environment Canada focusing my time on the socio-economic impacts of extreme weather events. Investigating weather phenomenon and their impacts gave me invaluable experience in the analysis of complex problems.
Our litigation professionals are experienced at all levels of Court and administrative tribunals in Ontario at numerous motions, hearings, trials and appeals. When individual or business disputes cannot be resolved, we have the right to seek recourse and remedies from the Courts. The litigation process usually starts with a letter to the other party setting out your position and an attempt to negotiate a resolution.
Nelson, Watson Professional Corporation offers a wealth of experience advising and representing employees as well as small and medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations with employment law and human rights matters. We work with our clients to understand the factual and legal issues of each particular situation and tailor our advice accordingly.
