Meticulously renovated from top to bottom featuring a blend of modern convenience and exceptional style. The hotel is comprised of two separate styles of rooms. The second floor is more family oriented with 2 double beds, bath and shower, telephone and cable TV. The executive rooms on the 3rd floor offer king size beds, kitchenettes and splendid Canadian Maple furniture, along with every possible amenity.

It is older, a homey feel though so not too bad. It was clean and well maintained.
The bed and pillows were good and the rooms were extremely clean. We stayed in two different rooms at two different times in a span of a week. Depending on the room the shower pressure differs from okay to pretty good.
Overall definitely worth it, the price is really good and the people are awesome.

Clean, spacious rooms with washed bed linens and bathroom towels. Wifi connection is solid. Satellite tv with lots of channels. Hotel is right dt WH, walking distance to a plethora of restaurants, stores, etc. Parking (on side of building) neighbors the RCMP parking lot/building, so I felt safe leaving my vehicle there - but generally speaking, wouldn't leave anything valuable in my truck anyways. Would stay here again.

Really subpar - this place has no elevator and the stairs are carpeted with 2 or 3 layers of carpeting which makes walking up them carrying luggage really hard. When you do get upstairs, the room is dated - even the sheets and bedspread looks worn out. No ac and even on a fall day that was not hot outside, inside is pretty hot and there is nothing you can do about it. They advertised free wifi but when I checked in the wifi is charged by the hour. When I complained about it, they claim they changed the policy a week ago, but they didn't change the ad and my reservation stated free wifi. Not

The Town and Mountain is plain-Jane, 2-star hotel, and much better than it looks from the outside. Our recently renovated room was clean and comfortable; everything worked. There was no hair dryer, you need to go to the front desk for that.
We found the location convenient, within walking distance to amenities. Our room overlooked the road, but it was quiet at night. If you have mobility issues you should be aware that this three-story building has no elevator and I believe that all rooms are on the second and third floors.
The Town and Mountain is good option in Whitehorse.

I have been to the Town and Mountain on 3 occasions and each one has gotten progressively better. I guess that's part of being a newbie in a smaller city.
From what I have seen this lounge has the best selection of bottled import and specialty beers in Whitehorse. Ranging from European's to organic Pacific Northwest there is a flavor for everyone. This is a great change of pace from most other establishments that serve the ole favorites and local micro-brews. Given the nature of imported beer expect a larger tab.
They have a few TV's in the back but also have more relaxed vibe
