Best secret in the heart of Guelph. We enjoyed the daily lunch special.. delicious beef taco and best ceasar salad! Our waitress Resh was very attentive. Great ambience and nicely physically distanced. Accessible bathroom on main floor.

You know that disappointment and embarrassment when you take people to a place, and it's disappointing and underwhelming.... Unfortunately this was the experience.

Three out of four of us were disappointed with the experience last night. It took an hour to get our meals after ordering despite the small number of guests on a Tuesday night. One meal was under-cooked. Two of the mediocre pasta dishes came with such a vulgar quantity that when we finished, it looked like we hadn't touched our meals. And they forgot to add shrimp to my jambalaya. We sat in a quaint corner that was very cold. This was the first time we'd been to Einstein's since before the pandemic. The waitress was lovely and attentive.

If I could go more than 5 stars, I would! One of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant anywhere in the area. Everyone I went to dinner with had the same amazing experience and comments about the atmosphere, service, food, and the quality of the menu. Che Rocky made the most amazing Experiment Dinner (highly recommend) for 4/5 people at the table and they all came out incredible. I will be back many times to Einstein's Cafe and will be telling anyone who will listen about it as well!

As a long time fan of Einstein’s, I am so pleased to be able to enjoy Rocky’s excellent dishes during Covid. My friends and I continue to get take away as we have porch visits. Rocky has maintained his excellent standards through the pandemic. Highly recommend to visitors, tourists and local. Support your local restaurateurs ❤️

I had the Experiment Dinner, and it did not disappoint! My experience is Chefs love when they can go rogue from a set menu...this meal option is different every time they made it! One person had pasta, and I had a Mexican style chicken dish. 10/10 recommend! Very affordable, two dishes and a bottle of wine was very reasonably priced.

Amazing food, great ambience, service could be better hence the 3 stars. The staff did not respond well to specific dietary requirements and did not really want to accomodate us. We had their quesadillas and the quality as well as the quantity were beyond average. Oh and also, sometimes they are fully booked on weekends so always call ahead. Dont know if that was a excuse made by them to avoid serving customers with dietary needs or they were actually fully booked for dinner service. The interior is pretty cool, i have not checked it out but have heard lots of great things (especially the Einstein

A cozy atmosphere with great service and food. We even got complimentary cookies (still warm from the oven) because our server overheard that it was my birthday :)
Ordering ‘Einstein’s creation’ was also a lot of fun since you don’t know what the chef will be making for you and it’s always amazing and memorable!
We will be coming back here again!

Probably the best meal I've had in Guelph to date! I got Pesto Pasta, and it was DELICIOUS. Pesto Pasta is, according to the menu, Fettuccine tossed with pesto, tomatoes, black olives and feta. I think there was some minced garlic in it, too because I could smell it. It was a perfectly cooked pasta and the portion was big as well. I'm not sure how their other dishes fare, but I'd get one of their pasta again. One complaint is that the food does come out slowly, so either order a take-out or give yourself lots of time. This place is small and a little cramped so it may not be best

We ate and had drinks on the patio, under these gorgeous, big blooming magnolia trees. The staff were especially friendly and accommodating. The food was great.

Met a friend here for lunch last week, and we sat out on the patio which was quiet and a great place to sit and catch up.

I had the avocado and brie sandwich, which was just okay. I love both avocado and brie separately, but I didn't love the flavours together. Also it was really hard to eat because it kept falling apart.

My friend has had a lot of really good meals here though, so I'm interested in going back and trying out some other dishes!

I wish I had known about this place before my fourth and last year at the University of Guelph. If you are looking for food that is fresh, healthy and made from scratch, this is the place to go. The wraps are absolutely delicious and big!! The salad that goes with them is wonderful too. They added some sliced almonds that had a delicious smokey flavour on top of the salad; I absolutely loved it every time I came. I will definitely be going back next time I go to Guelph. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is very homey and the food is great.

Food was fine, service was nice. My wife and are cautiously optimistic that the restaurant will deserve 4 stars in the future on a subsequent visit, thinking that the taste of our food will be improved and we just hit an off night (nothing to do with quality, just that we were not 4-star-in-love w/ the dishes).

My wife and visited Einstein's Cafe a few years ago when we visited Guelph on a weekend trip. One of the locals recommended this place (always a good sign) so we had to check it out.

We were very impressed both with the decor (old house) and the food. The menu was very eclectic and portions were large. If I remember correctly, we had the enchiladas with peaches and some type of wrap..both of which were great! I will be sure to eat here again on my next trip to Guelph!

Here is a great review of the place...

I went here in a group of about 8 people for a quick lunch.

I had heard about Einstein's many times and had passed by it but for some reason had managed to go 6 years in Guelph without setting foot inside.

The place is located in an old house, two floors with hardwood and a really comfortable down-to-earth feel. We sat upstairs in a little room just large enough for our table, it was a great intimate setting. A bit chilly, though.

The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. They offer a good selection of salads and sandwiches. I had the sauteed mushroom sandwich with a side salad, and
