For well over a century, the lawyers of Cox Taylor and its predecessor firms have been committed to both client service and community service. Our firm counts among its alumni current and former judges, mayors, council members, members of Parliament, and members of the Legislative Assembly. Two former partners of our firm have served as Treasurer of the Law Society of British Columbia.
In addition to providing pro bono legal services, our lawyers serve as board members in a broad array of governmental, civic, educational, and charitable organizations. Our firm traces its beginnings to the law practice established by Thornton Fell, K.C. in Victoria, British Columbia in 1881. A prominent barrister, Mr. Fell served as Clerk of the Legislative Assembly between 1878 and 1920.

Services
Cox Taylor is always seeking talented and conscientious legal professionals to join our team. From time to time, we seek experienced lawyers to fill needs in particular practice areas. Currently, there are no open positions for associate lawyers. Most of the partners of Cox Taylor started their legal careers as articling students with the firm.

Would not recommend to anyone buying a house, we called in multiple times with the info they needed and still they couldn't get it figured out, sent emails that the lawyer said he did not receive and then later they found, on the day we signed the papers which was the closing date he thought it was the next day, we had to remind him, almost didn't make the closing date as they missed some documents the sellers lawyers had to refer them to get, and they over charged us for there horrible service.

I called this law office for an advertised service. The receptionist took my information and the reason I was calling. She told me a lawyer would get back to me. I didn't hear anything. After 2 days. I received an email stating that no one at their firm could assist me. I was NOT impressed! Why did they take my information if my inquiry was not part of their services? What a waste of time! There are many great law firms in this city. This isn't one of them!
