Our practice offers comprehensive eye care for our patients and effective management techniques for a myriad of eye conditions. Ontario governments have long ignored optometrists. Beginning over 30 years ago, an OHIP insured eye exam paid $39.15. Today, it has only increased to $44.65 (on average). With the growth of the industry and inflation, this doesn't even come close to covering the expenses and costs that go into every eye exam.
Comprehensive eye exams are a vital part of maintaining good eye health and vision. Our exams are all-encompassing, and test for various eye conditions and diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration. The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that adults have a complete eye examination at age 40.
Proper eye care plays a significant role in your child's development. We provide comprehensive eye examinations to ensure your child's eyesight is supported as they learn and grow. Bringing your child in for a thorough examination helps us to implement treatment and maximize the treatment's effectiveness.
Diabetes is a disease that makes it difficult for the body to produce and regulate insulin. Insulin helps control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. Drastic spikes or drops in blood sugar levels can cause significant damage to the organs, blood vessels, and nerves. High blood sugar on its own likely won't cause vision loss, but it may cause blurry vision due to fluctuating fluid levels in the eyes.

Each time I go to Eyes on Sheppard I receive excellent treatment. My last visit was no exception. The staff was most helpful in assisting me with choosing prescription sunglasses that suit me best. They were dedicated and spent as much time with me as I needed. I love my new glasses and yes ... I get compliments on them as well!

Seems appointments and being respectful to patients is not of importance which you get so big and well know.
I was kept waiting for 30 minutes and then offered the opportunity to be disrespected a second time… by rebooking an appointment.
My time is of value just as is Dr. Evans.
I won't be returning to this eye clinic again.
