Peter and Mary Siemens, along with their ten children, moved from Strathmore, Alberta to Abbotsford in 1951. Peter and Mary had immigrated to Canada as teenagers from Mennonite colonies in Russia, but they met and married in Manitoba. In 1954 Peter and his sons established Hub Motor Service in its present downtown Abbotsford location.
Jake started serving our customers in 1954 while attending high school at Phillip Sheffield High School. He is the 7th child of Peter and Mary Siemens' 10 children. Jake served our customers for 56 years before his retirement in the fall of 2010. Jake and his wife Marilyn have two sons, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
By offering consistently competitive fuel prices, convenient locations, and a variety of services to people on the GO, we're seen as a fresh alternative to the big guys. Fuel is a commodity. We're Independent. A chain with no affiliation or obligation to any one supplier. So we shop around everyday, depending on the wholesale price of various fuels and their availability.
Hub Motor Service is in my mind the best car service station in Abbotsford. The Siemens family do great work and are more honest than just about anybody I know. You can just feel it when you walk in their door. Granted they are a bit old fashioned, I mean they run out and pump the gas for you, wash your windows and always ask you if you need your oil checked.

Sept 16. 2021 update 100% recommend.
Just used Hub again today. Drop off was super easy. We still been 100k since we really did anything but breaks and tires and the van needed a tune up and once over. They only did the work we specifically asked for and told us nothing else needed to be done. They went through everything. Very kind guys. Then when my original plan for pick up failed big time they dropped it off in my driveway again.
I also have confidence knowing that no “mystery lights” that only they can figure out are going to suddenly turn on after their work, they are super trust worthy
