For over 20 years, our hair salon has been a mainstay in New Westminster. We have provided our with the top and latest looks in hairstyling over the years in a friendly and relaxing environment. We have and continue to provide the top quality in hair care products. Our goal has simply been to make our clients look and feel beautiful and wonderful.
Atefa Hair Design has been in business for over 19 years and Atefa has been working in the New Westminster area for more than 27 years. With over 30 years of experience, Atefa started her journey with hair at the Morris School of Hair Design and Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England. She was a member of the artistic team and trainer at Raymond Salon for 11 years.

I had an appointment with Marcella and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I've had at a salon in a long time. This is my first time being at this salon and I was very excited considering of all the great reviews. Definitely fooled me. Marcella was very passive and unprofessional right off the bat. I can go on about how rude she was but there's no point. Let's just say she appeared as though she hated her job. She didn't take the time to sit me down in the chair to discuss what I wanted. She then had washed my hair so quickly and didn't once ask is the temperature

Charge $200-$300 for a colour when they pay only $8 per tube of hair colour. Asked multiple times to dry my own hair and if I didn't have plans later on, they would not style my hair. Stylist would work.hung over or cancel your appointment because they were hung over. Nail techs in the spa will come to work hung over as well.

I have been a client of Atefa for over 20 years. I have ALWAYS been completely satisfied with the service, the salon and of course I get an amazing haircut and colour. I would highly recommend this salon. All the hairstylists are so friendly and they even have assistance that make the highlights and cut quicker and more efficient. I also love the tea they offer. So tasty.

Firstly, the entire experience was a bit awkward. I ended up being the last person in the salon and they asked me to pay before my service was complete, as they wanted to close the cash register. This was my first time at this salon, so I couldn't tell how much I would want to tip as I had nothing to base it on. Plus when I went to pay, the price was more than what they told me on the phone.
Awkward feelings aside, my actual issue is that she cut one side of my long hair a full 2 inches shorter than the other side! Unfortunately I was being rushed to leave and I didn't notice right

I recently got a layered bob haircut and dark lowlights in my hair from Atefa and was very happy with how it turned out. I had been wearing my hair the same for too long and she helped me get a new look. She has great skill and is a fabulous person. I would highly recommend this salon.
I happened to be there when Head to Toes Spa was having their open house and was treated to some great goodies, too. The staff at Atefa are always friendly, and offer me tea or water every time. I like it there very much.

I've been a client of Naz's at this salon for fourteen years and feel so fortunate to find this level of expertise locally and at such reasonable prices.

I love the way Atefa does my hair. Naz has also done a great job. The girls in the hair salon are so nice and caring. They are so good with color and they sure know how to give great advice. I had red streaks put in my hair and I love them. If you want a hair professional that you can trust, I highly recommend this place. The ambiance is also gorgeous.

Atefa has been doing my hair for over twenty years. Her ability to color my hair as I have aged is one of the many reasons I keep going back. She is really knowledgeable about products, trends, and anything hair related! I feel fortunate to have a hairdresser like her, and would highly recommend her.
