Often used in combination with clinical medicine, hands-on massage therapy can feel almost miraculous in its ability to relieve both physical and mental stress. The concept is simple - soft tissue manipulation and deep tissue massage using gentle kneading, more intense pressure, or even the use of tools - to help pinpoint and soothe aches and pains.

Complementary to modern western medicine, Acupuncture therapy has been used for centuries to balance the vital energy of the body - called qi or chi (and pronounced 'chee'). Shown to be effective for pain relief, Acupuncture can also be effective for a number of ailments. A form of massage, Reflexology treatments use varying degrees of pressure with the hands, fingers and thumbs to create a calming touch.
