The staff are disrespectful and demeaning to me as a person and I didn’t check in because the staff insinuated that I would steal something just because of what I was wearing and the colour of my skin
I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone based off this experience

I'll admit I was sceptical when arriving at this hotel because I had read reviews. Other than the odd way getting from our car to the lobby, and had been looking forward to having a dinner at the "jewel of the north" restaurant which isn't opened, there are more positives than negatives.
Staff at front desk and check in was great. Rooms were clean and the heater works. As well, zero problems with the water which worried me the most because it seemed most said the taps didn't work. Lots of hot water coming out of the right tap.
Person at breakfast was very nice and the hot breakfast was above

Room was cold when we got in late at night. Other then having to turn the heat on the staff were accommodating.
Complimentary breakfast wasn't the greatest but the eggs were decent.
The 4* is for the friendly staff.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed in the King suite on the 4th floor, room was beautiful and the views were amazing. Breakfast was great. Amazing value, would definitely stay here again!

All was good until I was awoken twice, first time by people slamming doors and the second, water coming from the roof by the window pouring in . Major leak, which is a liability to have guests in a room with water coming from the ceiling and the young man at the front desk was completely unprofessional offered me no help , upgraded me to a SMALLER ROOM which I didn't expect and only when the property manager or owner came to talk with me gave me the room for free and my refund . As it could of been a major insurance issue for the hotel . Other then this its okay for a dated hotel

This hotel has seen better days but still an okay stay especially for the $. Breakfasts were good. Staff were amazing, super friendly. Nice lobby. The attached restaurant was closed. The parking garage was open but monitored (concierge was waiting and holding the door when we parked). Rooms were clean, bed comfy, but hands down, the worst hard pillows. Weirdly, you get hot water from the cold taps (you have to run them about 15 mins to get cold). It's not in the best section of an already depressed town but for reference the holiday Inn was kitty corner for 2x the price. Saw a bald eagle right
