Well they are extremely friendly and professional. I brought my lil girl Shih Tzu in for what we thought was a bladder infection and was treated as such. Turns out she had something else go wrong on her insides and unfortunately she died in my arms a little over 10 days after her visit. I feel that I was over charged as I called in the morning on a Saturday and asked if they could get Shadow in. They said yes but they would have to charge me an additional $80 for emergency call. They were not busy and didn't have to "fit" me in. So anyway $400 later and Shadow has crossed the rainbow bridge. Not

Place was clean and free of any dirt or smells.
The employees were all amazing and went above and beyond for all of the pets coming in and out.
It was Daisy's first visit here and they were so super loving and gentle with her. They were informative and straight to the point.
Highly recommend this vet for all your pets needs!

Critical: Reliability
They are Only concerned with pushing drugs on your pet and making money and at no point did they listen to our concerns. Do yourself a favor and drive to parksville or nanaimo

Thank you to the Vet and all staff here. The place is quite busy and they still make time to answer questions, ensure you are informed about your pet's needs, and make recommendations for pet health care prevention planning as well. You're all so lovely to us, thank you for all your hard work.

My e month old puppy died and they showed compassion and kindness and helped make a heartwrenching situation a teensy bit better. I miss my puppy so much. They were awesome with him and treated him with the utmost respect. Thank you to all of you at Alberni Vet. I'm sad cuz I won't be seeing you again.

They pushed me to get my cat de-flead and de-wormed, However when they applied the flea and deworming solutions to him they did not apply it to his skin AS DIRECTED, it didn't even reach his skin as he has long fur.. waste of 20 bucks I could've put it on way better myself. were very quick about giving him his shots and were gentle.
Payed 141$ for deworming, flea treatment & all vaccines except rabies

I took my little 3 lb chihuahua here for her vaccinations and will NEVER go back again. Though she is normally calm and happy and completely loving with those she meets, my dog was afraid of the vet assistant. Neither the assistant nor the vet made any effort to help my dog feel safe and just immediately grabbed her and then were extremely rough with her, dangled her in the air by the scruff of her neck, which I understand is very painful for them, and she was screeching and looked absolutely terrified. The vet didn’t say a word about it, just grabbed her and gave her the shots. After I got her

Sent out dog for an ear infection. They claimed our dog also had fleas and worms and sold extra medication for it. Our dog does not have fleas or worms. I called and they said they would do a refund. We went all the way back the next day and they refused to give our refund. Extremely poor customer service. Sneaky and shady behaviour. I’ve heard bad things and now I believe them. They don’t even give you a receipt stating what was done. They just charge you and expect you to pay it no questions asked. I feel like they will do anything for an extra buck. Do yourself a favour and go to a decent
