Champion Veterinary Healthcare is the little vet clinic in the Comox Valley, and we're okay with that. This isn't corporate medicine we're practicing here - it's personal, custom-designed health care. Our veterinary practice is located just 7 minutes outside of Courtenay in the village of Cumberland, and being small gives us the opportunity to build a relationship with each and every one of our Comox Valley patients - and their families.
More than a veterinarian, Dr. Carol Champion is your pet's family doctor; someone who understands your pet's medical history, likes and dislikes and even how her environment may be affecting her health. We recognize that your pet's health is dependent upon a variety of factors, including age, lifestyle, diet and breed.

Services
Dr. Champion graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1993, and has been serving pets and their people in the Comox Valley ever since. She loves her work and devotes many hours each year to continuing education and conferences to optimize her medical and surgical skills. Mrs. Mahon is a Certified Medical Office Assistant and Veterinary Nutritional Advisor with more than 20 years of experience in medical practice.
There are many factors that could influence the health and well-being of your pet. We'd be happy to sit down with you and discuss your pet's nutritional requirements, behavioural issues or anything else that you may be concerned about. Keeping your pet's vaccinations up to date is not only important for good health, but is a must if your dog socializes with other pets.
Our surgical suite and anesthesia equipment and techniques ensure the utmost safety for your pet during surgical and dental procedures. Urogenital: spays/neuters, vasectomy, urinary bladder surgery/bladder stone removal, hernia repairs, vulvaplasty, caesarian sections, relieving urinary blockages in male cats.
I appreciate that Dr. Champion has always taken a holistic approach to any problems with our dogs. She is a good listener when it comes to symptoms our "boys" have shown and always makes certain that we understand all her instructions. She also follows-up after her exams. I also appreciate never feeling rushed during any consultations.
