Red River Dental Group
Red River Dental Oral Health Centre's goal is to provide our patients the best dental care we believe they deserve. Our practice has been serving Selkirk and the surrounding area for over 40 years. We will partner with you to develop a treatment plan to address all your dental needs. Once those treatment goals have been reached we will establish continual dental re-care visits suited to your individual needs.

Prevention is the cornerstone of our practice. Dental restorations or fillings are routinely done to replace tooth structure damaged by dental decay. The dentist will diagnose dental decay or cavities that are new or around old restorations both visually and radiographically (x-rays). Dental filings can include silver, white (bonded or composite restorations), crowns, inlays, onlays or veneers.
Services
Tooth loss can happen from a variety of reasons and a denture can be fabricated to replace a missing tooth or teeth. Dentures can be full or partial and are custom fabricated to fit the top or bottom jaw. Our dentures are custom fabricated to fit the contours of your mouth. In the case of partial dentures they are fabricated of metal and plastic and have retention clasps that secure the partials to the existing teeth.
Red River Dental Group can custom fit and fabricate bite guards to protect your teeth and jaw musculature. Headaches, grinding, clenching, broken teeth are all signs a bite guard are needed. A bite guard can prevent future problems such as worn teeth, jaw pain with lead to functional and cosmetic issues.
Dental implants are titanium screws placed directly into bone structure to provide support for a single missing tooth, multiple teeth or for the entire dentition. A single missing tooth would require a single implant to provide an anchor to a single crown. The alternative treatment would require cutting the adjacent teeth to have a fixed bridge replace the single crown.
If left untreated gum disease can lead not only to premature tooth loss but is also implicated in other serious health problems of the body in general. It is the bacteria or the germs that cause destruction of the supporting tissues of the teeth.

The bone, gum and tissues supporting the teeth can be slowly destroyed by these germs and lead to gum disease, which loosens the teeth and causes infections, bad breath and lead to serious other health issues.By having routine cleanings our Hygiene team will remove the plaque (soft germy deposits) and calculus (hard germy deposits) that contain these germs and improve overall oral health.
Red River Dental Group provides bleaching services with a take home bleach system. This system has been documented to give you the best results as it is the time used that gives the best results. Light systems give you a quick whitening but best results require time. We fabricate custom teeth moulds that are used for varying amounts of time at your convenience to bleach the teeth.

I went in for a teeth cleaning on Friday, Jan 29th 2022, I was recommended Red River Dental by word of mouth, I had a very bad experience with my old dentist so I chose to go to Red River Dental based on what I had heard. From the moment I walked in the ladies at reception were friendly and personable. They checked my temperature and follow COVID-19 precautions. I really enjoyed how friendly and reassuring everybody was to me. Dr. Wozney came in after my teeth cleaning to talk about a cavity in my mouth, I am very apprehensive about the dentist but he calmed my nerves and made me feel at ease.

I've been going to Red River Dental for several years. I appreciate the care and attention from the moment I walk in the door, to the expertise in cleaning from my hygienist, to the rare times I need a teensy bit more work from the dentist. (I can't feel my face when I'm with y'all!) Thank you for putting nervous children at ease too. The new location is gorgeous, clean, and professional...but above all the staff are knowledgeable, understanding, and kind.

Awesome staff, very professional, great with my kids and will make any accommodation necessary for any disability or sensory need ( turn lights down, decrease background noise so my hearing impaired children can hear what is happening, etc)

My 20 something daughter HATES the dentist! She had 10/10 tooth pain - I called Dr. Wozney's office. I explained her issued and was given an appt. within a few days. The dreaded appt. arrived, with fear my daughter attended. Dr. Wozney assessed the situation - root canal required - explained the procedure and made a referral to get it done that day. She was writing exams and could not wait the 2 weeks (due to Covid) for an appt. The hygienist, Michelle was AMAZING! After Dr. Wozney left she again explained the procedure. Later the specialist told her, "the dentist shouldn't hurt!" He was right

Hygienists are gentle, clerical staff are professional, dentists are knowledgeable. Everybody is friendly, and it's a comfortable atmosphere. Been going there for 20+ years, the new building is a nice upgrade, with an aesthetic modern design.
