I never actually stayed at the Recreation Inn & Suites in Kelowna, but I wanted to write this review because I received 5-star customer service from the manager and front desk when I recently applied for a short-term monthly rental. I was shown the hotel room where I would be staying (and they also held it for me as well which went above and beyond). I was quite impressed with the cleanliness, the nice bedding, and the standards of excellence. No it's not the Hilton, it is an older building but it is obvious that it is well maintained and clean and has all the amenities you need for a long term

The room was adequate for my stay. I really liked the pressure quality of the showers. I did have a major concern about the windows. It seemed like I would be able to open them from the outside which is concerning for single travelers. Other than that, the breakfast options could be better (granola bar, muffin, and an apple). It would be great to have a yogurt, or oatmeal for those who are not able to chew hard foods.
The location is great which is why I rated 3 stars. Very close to bus stops and major intersection with the shops. Very close to downtown as well.

It’s an old hotel in need of serious renovations. An attempt is made at keeping it clean but the carpets need a shampoo at the very least and I had to wipe down the kitchen with Lysol wipes before I felt I could use it.
The staff however are lovely, the front desk and check in was simple and the housekeepers quickly brought us more towels when we asked. The location is great, just off the highway so it makes it very easy to get around.

My girlfriend and i were here on a working vacation. we stayed one night at this motel and were very impressed. The front end staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you Isaac). The room was clean and good. There are 3 bbqs free for guest use and a nice outdoor pool. i will definately stay here again.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now... I absolutely enjoyed staying here and have recommended it already to others.
We stayed 4 or 5 days last summer (July 2014) My husband and I with our two kids (ages 5 & 6).
Rooms were clean, well maintained, comfortable and included a microwave and mini fridge. I didn't like the sliding door on the other end of our room. With kid's I would have felt safer without an extra door they could have possibly walked out of at night or someone else have opening it. Although nothing did happen and there was a lock I would have felt
