It is important and we recommend getting a regular dental check-up, at least every six months. Having your check-ups at regular intervals allows your hygienist to keep an accurate record of your oral health. Also, regular check-ups reduce the chances of oral problems becoming large procedures. During your appointment with your hygienist your mouth is checked to see if it is healthy.
More than 75% of tooth decay starts in the pit and fissure areas of back teeth. A dental sealant is an acrylic-like material that shields out decay-causing bacteria from the grooved chewing surfaces of teeth.
