I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years and to be nickel and dimed by the lady that served me really made me mad. Apparently they can't replace a watch battery without charging me a $35 fee to install a seal. The watch costed 19.99 at walmart. Just replace the battery!? The customer is always right. Don't offer free battery replacement if you're going to charge me. I told her to throw the watch out but she took it and said maybe they could use it for parts. I don't believe it. They're going to use my crusty old work watch for someone else's parts? What an awful experience. I left another

We visited Dodgie at the Appelts Ness location back in August... when we were just "looking" at engagement rings, little did we know that unplanned visit would lead to him helping us create the most PERFECT sapphire engagement ring; followed by him helping bring my wedding band dreams come true.

We had such a great experience working with Dodgie. I would definitely recommend working with him in designing a personalized piece of jewlery. He took such care and effort while designing and working on my grandma's ring. He listened to our ideas part of the whole process and made sure we were satisfied every step of the way. He even helped my fiance when planning for our proposal!

Not sure if they have changed ownership but as a customer of 15 years I was very disappointed in the customer service I experienced and I will never return to appelt's again, nor would I recommend anyone purchase from here. Sadly, I can see from the reviews that my experience was not unique. I live out of province and had a relative bring my ring in for warrantee, the band let go and it was severed at the claw. Thinking this was an easy thing to deal with, given the service we had when the ring was purchased I thought this would be a simple matter. This chirpy and uninformed staff offered

My experience with Appelt's has been absolutely outstanding. Firstly, I purchased a gold and diamond fashion ring in the summer which needed to be sized. The price was good and the extra cost for the upsizing was reasonable. The ring turned out beautiful. Secondly, I met with Dodgie Dator, the incredible jewelery designer who helped me design a right hand ring for myself from my (deceased) parent's wedding rings. It turned out even more gorgeous than I planned and seeing it in person brought tears of joy and happiness to me due to the emotional and sentimental nature of what the ring was composed

We have always had a great experience with Appelt's! From the first time my fiance visited to choose my engagement ring over 2 years ago, to working with Maggie over the phone to buy my wedding band today! The customer service is excellent. They are supportive and not pushy. They answer all questions and address concerns! I have visited the store for Valetine's Day gifts (Hillberg & Berk sparkly ball earrings), they have a great selection of more casual jewelry, watches, etc as well. Their warranty is awesome and they will provide "tune-ups" to secure diamonds and clean your jewelry!

Nice to you until they have your money! They boast about having excellent customer service but every time I go to get my rings cleaned and re coated I feel like a second class citizen. The policy for ring maintenance seems to change every time I go in. I'm always greeted with a "well did you buy it here?" (I did) and then attitude about when the jeweller is in. Yesterday they wanted me to leave my rings there for a week (a week!) just to be coated. When we bought these rings we were told I could bring them by and have them serviced the same day. After getting engaged recently, we went back to Appelt's to have my ring sized. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing. We brought in my ring and the sales lady said that it would be ready in two days. Two days came and went without any calls. I called the next day to make sure my ring was ready, and to my dismay, it wasn't going to be ready for another week. No one bothered to call me and let me know. How terrible!

For a business that prides itself on customer service, I was not impressed to say the least. Now I will have to go to my New Year's Eve party showing off
