Dr. Caroline Deutsch is an experienced Clinical Counsellor & Registered Psychologist in St. Albert. Dr. Caroline Deutsch has a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Leicester, England. She is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a full member of the Psychological Association of Alberta. Originally from Ireland, she is down to earth and authentic, with sense of humour.
Our goal is to empower you, to give you the tools that will transform your life, to connect with your strengths and allow you to build the life you want for yourself. People come for counselling for many reasons. Many come to discuss family stressors and life issues such as the transitions that come with aging parents or children leaving home.
When facing a major life change, each member of your family will be affected differently. During a time of conflict, family counselling can help heal your family, moving toward a happier, healthier and peaceful family. Family Counselling can help family members cope with life transitions and various health issues.
When you experience a loss, often your loved ones don't have to tools to help you work through your pain. During your session: Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice or water. During your 50 minute session Caroline will work with you toward addressing your current needs.
Depression can make it incredibly difficult to function and enjoy your life like you once did. Just getting through the day can be overwhelming. You may feel like you're alone and that it's hopeless. Depression is not something you can "just get over" alone. Understanding the signs, symptoms, causes, and treatment of depression is the first step to overcoming the problem.
